[APP][Pro] Sensibo - Air Conditioning and Quality

Oh really? I have to time mine and check then because I’ve got the feeling it’s somewhat dybamic based on run hours and the response one put in after comfirming a filter change/cleaning

Yep, that could be. I hope it is an intelligent one and adjusts by itself.
It is indeed based on the run hours and a threshold equivalent to running 12.5 days continuously.

On deeper investigation, indeed it is based on run hours. The threshold is fixed to 300 hours of run time and then there should be a notification.

However, the API result for acOnSecondsSinceLastFiltersClean updates only when:

  • “I cleaned the filters” is pressed in the Sensibo mobile app.
  • The AC is turned OFF
  • Looks like any AC state change, mode, temperature etc.

I raised the question in Sensibo discussion forum (in facebook), that shouldn’t it actually keep updating while the AC is turned ON. I monitored the value for 24 hours and no change, even though the AC is ON.

An update from Sensibo: They’ll make an update to the API so that acOnSecondsSinceLastFiltersClean gets updated also periodically.

After the app was updated yesterday, I lost contact with my Sensibo and Sensibo Room Sensor devices.

I have restarted the app and also tried to repair it by entering the API key without any luck.

Trying to add new devices states that there are now new devices available.

The devices are functioning fine in the Sensibo App on Android.

What could cause this?

New update (Test: 1.16.8 )

Changes include

  • FIX: Sky, Air and RoomSensor failing due to new features from Air Pro.

To test this version, please install from above version link.

If you do not want to test this version anymore, you can return to the live version by installing it from the app store.

This test version fixed the problem mentioned in my post above.

The only (small) thing is that the information “Last seen” is not shown in local time. I guess it’s shown in UTC.

Excellent. I’ll publish the fix to the production version.

Yes, I noticed the local vs UTC time also, that has been there since the start I think, but would make sence to show local time.

New update ( Test: 1.17.1 )

Changes include

  • ADD: Support for Sensibo Elements and it’s measurements
  • ADD: Driver icons for Sensibo Elements and Sensibo ACs
  • FIX: Filter capabilities are now driver level for Sensibo ACs and Pure
  • FIX: Last seen date to local time of the Homey

To test this version, please install from above version link.

If you do not want to test this version anymore, you can return to the live version by installing it from the app store. Before doing so, remove the new “Sensibo Elements” devices you might have added for testing.

Hi. We have the Sensible Elements. I see you have a beta ready, but there is a warning about risks. What type of risks are there? thank you, Mark

Test version of apps may or may not work as expected compared to the live version. Live versions are usually tested better by the developer and the community.
Functionalities for new features in the test version might not be completed.
And as said, you can always return to the live production version.

so is the risk then just that the Sensibo app may not work, or that it can affect other parts of Homey?

The risks are within the context of a specific app.

Thank you, appreciate your response.

just added a Sensibo Elements to our Homey Pro 2023. Looks like it’s working just fine. Even the time is showing correct for the Pacific TimeZone.

I didn’t see that you got a reply back from them before just now. But that’s good news, shouldn’t be to much work to make a “when” filter needs cleaning, and a “when” filters have been cleaned trigger then i guess? Maybe pr unit preferably (i have three at the moment, with different scheduals ).

The Filters Cleaning trigger is already available and also in the device sensors.
Only thing is that there has to be any state change like an update to temperature, any action really. So that the values are updated.

OH2TH, can you please have a look att theese feature requests?

Battery

Yes, I had been looking at the same. Battery is quite well doable.

motionSensor

Now for the motion, since the Sensibo API is based on polling, the motion sensing may be difficult to get working so that there is any benefit from it.

Meaning that with an interval of once a minute to poll the status of the motionSensor, would mean that the app might see the state change on or off and would become out of sync quite quickly. I am not aware of there is webhook available from Sensibo that the app could subscribe to and get more immediate motionSensor activity reports.

I do not want to make the interval faster as that would create more traffic and would cause unnecessary congestion.

Update from Sensibo: a non-polling API is on their backlog with a very low priority.

Sensor calibration
This could be doable, for example as a setting value for the device.

Ah, bummer with Sensibos miss of webhocks.

I hope for battery then😊

Any input on calibration?

Thanks
