[APP][Pro] Power by the Hour: Insights per hour, day, month and year

@Steven_Petein so theoretically all should work fine for you. Maybe if you share some screenshots showing what is not right?

Its the same as for Energylink (old appliance) which also caters for solar production. Let me know if this is a wrong approach.
Code hasn’t changed for ages so cant see what is wrong here.

Thanks for the quick response gents. Just noticed that I caused some confusion.
Besides other measurements I’m getting T1 + T2 + summary in the Dongle P1 device (screen 1)
The only measurement appearing PBTH is indeed the summarized T1 + T2 (screen 2).
Would be great if all 3 from P1 dongle could appear in PBTH but think a flow workaround based on hours to calculate is always possible, just checking what the options are !
Thanks

Ah ok. This will not be possible in 1 PBTH device. But you can create 2 additional virtual devices in PBTH, named T1 and T2. You then create a flow for each of the 2 devices to send every T1 and T2 change from the homewizzard device to the PBTH devices.

By the way, I dont know why you would want to monitor T1 and T2 seperately. If it is because the tariff differs between them, then there is a much better approach by updating the PBTH tariff when T1 is switching to T2 and vice versa.

Thanks Robin.
Loud and clear
Need to find some time to fiddle around the flows etc.
Cheers !

I really would like to add gas daily pricing for all European countries as well. There is pricing data available here: Spot market data | Powernext

But I’m utterly confused. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

What is TTF vs CEGH VTP vs CEGH VTP_WD vs CZ VTP vs ETF vs THE vs PEG vs ZTP vs PVB? What do the abbreviations mean?

And what is the difference between End of Day, European Gas Spot Index, Within Day and Neutral Gas Price?

And how do you know which reference price your energy provider is charging?

Can anyone shed some light on this gas pricing jungle?

Version 4.1.4 is coming up:

  • fix price_changed flow trigger.

version 4.2.0 is coming up:

  • Fix Homey fw 7.4.0 compatibility.
  • Added Day Ahead Gas pricing from TTF market.
  • Update to homey-api@1.5.14.

The new Day-Ahead gas pricing is implemented in a simple way, since I only have access to data from a single gas market: TTF End of Day. But other EU gas markets will have very similar pricing.

See here: Spot market data | Powernext

Any feedback on the Gas pricing? Is it useful?

The next version (4.2.1) will introduce a new flow card that helps to start/stop energy consumption based on actual price vs average price.

Gas TTF is not loading? I also can’t save settings.

Price becomes above/below trigger card, the period: idea to be able to choose +1 till +8?

For me, adding 0.0844 on top works. Then the prices of PBTH are exactly the same as the hourly prices incl taxes, as Zonneplan Energie

Thx for the feedback!

What do you mean by not loading? Can you elaborate on what you do, and what then fails?

What settings are you changing, and how do you know it fails? Do you get an error message?
Pls send a diagnostics report

Possible yes, but what is the use case?

Weirdly now I can save :-S

TTF not loading:

+1 till +8, then you can choose for certain equipment, for example the quooker, if in the next 2 hours it becomes cheaper, then quooker wait. Otherwise reheat now.

Other equipment like a dishwasher, you can easily say, % cheaper in there next 8 hours, as the dishwasher is washing during the night.

So certain equipment you want them soon to be ready, others can wait longer and wait for the best price.

Btw, these triggers, but then only ‘next day’, will also be helpful for the daily gas price?

For example I know a company, who is very smart in using the energy very efficient: if the price of gas is more expensive than tomorrow, they reheat the house a bit more. So next day you can use less gas to heat, but the temperature is already in the concrete to heat. Of course, they also look for the weather next day, if there will be lot of sun, not much pre-heating is needed

Btw, now the trigger cards only look at %. But let’s say, you choose 30% cheaper in the next 5hours. But it only became 27%. Then no trigger. But you still wanted the cheapest price in the 5hours. So a trigger card, ‘the cheapest’ in the next X hours, would be also very helpful

The TTF Gas price is not on the list yet, has it been removed?

You need the test version. Or wait till it is pushed to stable.

Pls send app diagnostics report. Not sure what is going on there.

I have the test version, but no price as well.

That is so weird that you are not getting gas prices. I just deleted and added gas pricing again. For me it all works good! I wonder if the data source I am using is checking the origin IP. I’m using FrankEnergy as data source, a NL company, and my Homey has a NL IP address. Could it be that your Homey is registered under a non-NL IP address?
