That is excellent!
Then it will be the same behavior and much easier to understand. Good work! ![]()
And would it make sense to show the money for last hour/day/month/year in the device? It would make it easier to compare at a glance, but the device info will significantly grow so you need to scroll more. @Morgan
I think it is good to have this hour/day/month/year in the device. No, need for previous.
It is good to have previous hour/day/month/year in Insight.
v3.6.0 is ready for testing
Changes from 3.4.1 (current stable version):
- Added previous hour/day/month/year money values.
- Added min/max peak values.
- Added dynamic peak value reset via flow.
- Added min/max flow triggers.
- Added support for more source devices including P1 DSMRv4.
- Fixed tariff change from flow sometimes not working.
- Fixed legacy migration failure.
- Small improvements.
Changes from 3.5.1 (previous test version):
- Added previous hour/day/month/year money values.
- Removed money_this from insights.
- Fix minMaxReset time display
- fix removeAllListeners on app unload.
- Added support for more source devices, including P1 DSMRv4.
- Ignore non-number meter values.
- Prepare lastUpdated timestamp on poll.
And yet another new feature I am working on (besides ironing out some small bugs I discovered in 3.6.0):
https://homey.app/nl-nl/flow/Ci9lBW/
Selecting the virtual meter will allow any app/device that has an energy(kWh)/gas(m3)/water(m3) meter to use PBTH, even when the source app is using non-standard capabilities.
And ANOTHER feature is in the works that should enable using Power By The Hour by with any app/device that has a Watt meter with measure_power capability.
So once I am finished implementing this, you can turn your Watt meter that does not have an energy total, into a kWh meter!
@Tukun Especialy for you
Reminder for myself: use the terms energy and power in a consistent way. Homey is incorrectly naming an energy meter (kWh) a power meter. But a power meter is in Watts.
looks like you are using a solar panel app that resets the kWh counter to 0 at midnight. Is that correct? If so, just switch on the ‘resets to 0 at midnight’ switch in the device settings.
Thanks for reply. No, I do not have a solar panel app. It seems that it has fixed itself, because now it shows correctly …? Strange. But something probably happened at midnight, and do not know what. «see attach photos taken now» Very good app! Liked it especially well with min / max per day consumption😃
Ready to test version 3.60 but I have one question: how do I sent power to the virtual meter? What virtual meter is that and where can I find it?
I also have one minor suggestion. Is it possible to change ‘geld’ to ‘kosten’, in Dutch? I think that might be more correct.
Further more: awesome app. Thanks!
You have to wait until I am finished with the new version. It is quite a complex project so please be patient ![]()
In English I also named it ‘money’ and not ‘cost’ because when you use PBTH for your solar panels it is not costing you, but making you money ![]()
Hi, great app!
Any change to be able to add more then one device? I want to show both Total price for today and current price per kWh.
Another question that I did not find any answer to here, Why show the symbol instead of currency like SEK/kWh?
You can add as many device as you have with a compatible capability (power/water/gas)
Euh, both are shown in the device tile. Can you post a screenshot showing what you mean?
Because not everyone in the world is using SEK
. And unfortunately Homey does not allow for this information to be changed, so I have to hardcode it to the international currency symbol
I have a Pulse P1 that measure power. I have added a PBTH-device that shows current price. I want another device that show me today’s total cost. But as I already added my Pulse so that’s not an option, I can only add it once.
For the currency. I was thinking only a simple text field that give the options to change that symbol to what I want. So you can set your own currency and unit
not possible with Homey. it must be hardcoded ![]()
I still don’t understand what you mean. The PBTH device tile shows you the active TARIFF (= price) AND it shows you the MONEY THIS DAY (=total cost of the day). So what is it you are missing?
Is it possible to make a trigger cart that triggers when “laag tarief” change?
And how would PBTH know that the tariff changed?
You need to tell it yourself via a flow. E.g. based on the tariff from another app (plugwise p1, youless, beeclear, …), or based on a time schedule.
So PBTH can never have a trigger card for tariff change. It has an action card to set the tariff in PBTH. Or am I not understanding your question?
Sorry, i looked to the tile of my Smile p1… My bad
![]()
But still… If you are using my Smile P1 app (not the ‘official plugwise’ app) you have a trigger card for tariff change, and you can do exactly this:
