Ok, some questionsâŠ
For now I stll have a contract with Greenchoice and not with Dynamic pricing. After this contract Iâm planning to go to ANWB with Dynamic pricing.
At the moment I have a flow that starts my Boiler when I have overproduction. I ofcourse would like to add heating of the boiler when prices are low. It this moment I just start heating after sunset (app 17:00) when overpriduction wsnât enough to heat the boiler.
I assume I need to doo something like this :
But Iâm not sure what I exactly need. Normally I use up to 6kWh, from completely empty to full it can hold app 8kWh.It heats at app 1000Watt..
v8.0.2 is ready for testing: Power by the Hour | Homey
All Homey languages, including the new Arab are now supported. AI was used for translation, so be kind ![]()
Counter reset: no! New starting date: not mandatory. But it does make it easier to compare what your energy company puts on the yearly bill.
Dont know. Better use Google or chat
There are many strategies you can try using the PBTH app. I would say it depends on when you want the hot water to be available (similar to that you want your car to be charged enough at 7am on office going days).
(Guessing you are dutchâŠ)
Not related to the type of contract, (and close to âoff topic tooâŠâ)
But
When you switch contractors they will also execute the âsalderingâ.
So check out how you re on usage and return, to use maximum of saldering.
When you start a new contract in summer you will have a lot of return (su,mer) and hardly usage (winter).
For saldering its probably best to switch nowâŠ. (As saldering ends in jan2027)
(Guessing you are dutchâŠ)
Whatever gave you that idea

But saldering was allready executed last oktober when I had the Gas removed. I neex to catch up with solar power the upcoming months.
If I stay until 31-12 I might get money back again, depending on the new contract.
v8.0.3 is ready for testing: https://homey.app/a/com.gruijter.powerhour/test/
This update brings more capabilities to the 15 minute Day Ahead Pricing device. Furthermore the very complex flow handling code has been completely restructured and rewritten so it is much easier to maintain.
Iâm having an issue with version 7.1.0 and 15âminute energy prices. The âNew price period startsâ flow card does not trigger every 15 minutes as expected; it only runs when the old 60âminute price period starts.
Try the new test version 8.0.3 (link is above)
I installed the test version, but prices are not updating for Finland. Iâve been waiting for 15 minutes now. In the previous version, prices were updated within a few minutes after reinstalling.
Wait longer. Entsoe rate limiting is the issue.
The prices are now correct, but the 15-minute price period is still not working and the variable markup % is not affecting the prices now.
Thx for the feedback @Nikop84
v8.0.4 is ready for testing: https://homey.app/a/com.gruijter.powerhour/test/
Iâm trying to use PBTH with 15-min energy prices in Finland but when ever Iâm trying to change any settings from âAdvanced settingsâ there will be error timeout 10000ms..? App ver. is test ver. 8.0.4.
I already using app with 60-min energy prices and itâs working flawlesslyâŠ
Any ideas whatâs wrong?

I encountered this issue when I tried to update the settings before the price information had been fetched.
Both works now! Great and thanks!
I see, now it works indeed. Thanks!
Hats off my man. Continously improving this great app.
Something different. Iâm under the impression Iâve seen it reported before, somewhere, but it still occurs: the non-rounding of certain values;
I think itâs an Athom firmware firmware issue, but I need your opinion if I need to report to Athom. Thanks!
PbTH sets the Homey capabilities options to use the number of decimals you enter in settings. The founding is done fully by Homey itself. I dont round the values in PBTH (well almost none). Which capability is showing faulty rounding?
