[APP][Pro] Power by the Hour: Insights per hour, day, month and year

This graphic of today is wrong for the 00:00 - 05:00 part.

Hi Theo, thx for all the input. I see there is a problem with gas prices. But so many apps, so little time. Since the gasprice bug impact is limited, it is not top of my list. Be (very?) patient

In Sweden, and possibly other countries, we will no longer have hourly pricing starting June 11. Instead, we will have quarter-hour pricing, meaning a new price every 15 minutes. Is this something that is being worked on?

@Theo_de_Koning many thx for your kind donation! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::partying_face::beers:

Hi - I have my power consumption logged to a google sheet (Gas, Electricity & Water). What I notice is that values are (seem?) not consistently logged. Take the below example:

Screenshot 2025-01-15 145201

Consumption on Jan 9th is 9.289 (m3 gas) and on the 10th is 12.25 and the 11th 10.414. The actual values written into the cells are 9289 and 12.25 and 10414 respectively. Adding these numbers to e.g. weekly or monthly totals then doesn’t make sense. How come it seems to store the values inconsistently? I have tried to adjust the notation of the google sheet, but that is merely a ‘cosmetic’ change - it doesn’t address the underlying inconsistent data.

thanks!

For me is it 9.289 en 10.414 in the cells.

Make the column 3 digits wide then you get 12.250.

I have done that, but it only changes the ‘cosmetics’ - not the underlying number. If I exaggerate by showing more decimals I get the following:

If you using Google sheet then it’s something tricky for getting the notation right.

Therefore I do this:

Try things out for your county

Before I had often to adjust the cell by hand.

Oops, of a cell = for a cell.

thanks Theo - I will try this tonight. Didn’t know ‘better logic library’ - but how you describe it, makes perfect sense!

In the meantime I have installed better logic library and followed your examples. Looks like it works

Thank you for providing such a great app for Homey, and I have been using it since I have Homey (almost a year).

It works perfectly for all my single devices, such as Air Conditioners, Boilers, etc.

Recently I installed 40 Zigbee LED downlight, it is around 12W each. They are in different zones.

Is there any way to measure the energy consumption for all the LEDs? Either by Zone or by type?

Thank you very much !

News from my grid operator.
My energy supplier have ask them to read the e-meter per 15 minutes.

It’s going to happend also here.
In my flows I worked already with 15 minutes for the kWh so, “only” do that idem with the prices then.

Where is the tabel/spreadsheet variable.

But will your supplier all so bill you for every 15 min. (i see you have zonneplan) and they advertice only with hour prices.
Or is with a combination off a home battery setup?

It’s known that we going to 15 minutes pricing.

In post 2802 here, I read Sweden starting 11 June.

Maybe some hints for @Gruijter that we can expect 15 min prices this in the future.

When a problem is solved then I find it normal to give feedback.

The gas JSON file for “today” and “tomrrow” are right now.

Thanks @Gruijter :+1:

LOL :joy:

This morning I try to make a little adjustment to the FM price for today and that was not working.
Even the graphic in the virtual device was gone.
Therefore I reset the app but with no result.

Later I get my flow messages that the new gas price for tomorrow was there.
Looking to the JSON file of “tomorrow” I saw the old and the new price.
But also in the JSON file of “today”.
Then I was thinking ‘it’s repaired’.

The 2nd time to adjust FM price it was direct accepted and good.

Is this now not also an error?

@Gruijter

I have not received new prices since yesterday (DAP Estonia).
The last update was 11 hours ago at 11CET or midnight local time.

I rebooted the app, but it did not help.

@Gruijter
Update:
1400 local time: prices were updated for Price Now only, the +1H…+7H periods have the same price as Price now
1500 local time: same prices as at 1400
