[APP][Pro] Mitsubishi WF-RAC - Cooling, heating and ventilation

Hi @evdpol Thanks for your effort in development and maintenance of the app!

I created the following diagnostics report after reinstalling the app V1.3.2 and reconnecting the airco: 89edc2a6-d51a-4ffe-ac64-a434a36cc46c.

The inside unit:

The Wifi-RAC unit, if required i could dissasemble the airco to take a picture of the specific device.

Thanks in advance let me know if you need anny additional information!

Jelle

Since the update to version 1.3.2 my airco units seem offline. However, there is no problem using the MHi app… the ip addresses are the same

Same here. Just installed the WF RAC in Homey Pro, but no connection. One MHI airco unit with an older WiFi module does work.

The WF RAC unit works without any problems in the Smart M Air app, though.

Hier opgelost door het wifi netwerk opnieuw op te starten. Lijkt op een mDNS probleem ofzo…

Same here, past week I have installed 2 2025 MHI Airco’s(built in wifi adapter). With the smart m-air app they work.

I can find them in homey but the become directly unavailable when I add them, in the settings the static ip’s of de units are correct

I hope there will be a fix for this!

Thnx a lot for support this app!!

Bij mij draait de app de laatste tijd heel stabiel. Geen connectie verliezen meer. Top!

Hi super nice app I like it big time  tip if you have connection problems reboot / update your wifi routers / `repeaters .

Then I suspect you have somewhat slower networks. I’m seeing a lot of reports of timeouts after 3 seconds. I’ll change this back to 4 seconds.

Nothing to do with slower networks… the mitsubishi WF RAC module is simply the worst I’ve ever worked with (and im in IT) It keeps connecting, disconnecting (if I look at the logs of the network) every couple of minutes, does not matter which WiFi settings you use (2.4, 5ghz, static ip or not, advanced settings etc). Here a screenshot of the network logs (and this wifi network is set to 2.4Ghz only, and close to the Airco units):

Reply van Mitsubishi over WF RAC: ā€MHI QA have responded as follows:

The connection condition between the router and WF-RAC is normal as the specification of the interface (WF-RAC) doing connect / disconnect every one hour.

This is because to avoid too much cache by the communication and this operation should not affect the application.’

Everything in my house is UniFi AP 7 Pro XG with gigabit speeds and 10gb connections on LAN. When I compare this with Daikin (which I had in my previous house), that was 10x better, but yeah it is what it is I guess  Thanks for the work on this plugin!

Im considering throwing out the WF RAC in the future and replace it with this: https://clima.protoart.net/shop/climacontrol-mitsubishi-heavy-industries-airtoair/?v=1a13105b7e4e as mentioned in: https://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/list_messages/2233498

The current update: 1.3.4 still times out the Airco’s in homey now. 1.3.2 was working fine.

Hi Edwin,

A few days ago they installed two new airco’s. The strange thing is that one of them works fine but the other one has the same problem as described above. They both have the build in wifi, i gave both of them a static IP, and they both are working fine in the Smart M-Air app.

Hal boven: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries - SRK50ZS-WF ← This one has the same problem as described above

Tweede verdieping: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries - SRK35ZS-WF ← This one is working fine

I’ve generated a report and can send the code if needed.

App V1.3.4

Can you help please?

V1.3.4 is now installed but still same issues. I am running completely on Unifi and had zero issues with the WF-RAC in Homey before v1.3.3.

After a restart of Homey the WF-RAC is working for about a few minutes then the ā€˜device is not available’.

Still I appreciate your work!

Same thing here indeed. Also with 1.3.4.

stil no issues

I’ve updated to 1.3.5, but unfortunately still the same issue.

Appreciate all the work you are doing!

Unfortunately for me the same with 1.3.5. I restarted everything but still ā€˜device not available’.

WF-RAC with static IP and in same VLAN as the Homey.

Issue here as well. I’ve got two SRK’s. One is working fine since whenever the app came out and is still running fine. I finally had the time today to put the wifi module in the other machine. Works fine in Smart M Air, it has a fixed IP and after it finds it in Homey, it immediately gives a Invalid_setting_type

Other machine still working flawless.

Thanks!

Edit; the other one stopped working as well.

Normally, I don’t submit feedback because the application has worked flawlessly for years. Unfortunately, since the latest update, I randomly see red triangles by my devices cards. This occasionally happened in previous versions as well, but it would disappear after a few seconds. Now the issue persists and only restarting the app resolves it, and even then only temporarily.

And by the way, thank you for your time and for the great work on this app. I really appreciate it!
