Maybe the time zone in the gateway is incorrect.

You can set this in the Ecowitt smartphone app (I don’t mean the WSView Plus app) as follows:
Weather station home screen → 3 dots in the upper right corner → Device settings → Time zone

You should also enable the “Auto Daylight Saving Time” feature.

Hi Adrian,

I’m having a problem adding a WittFlow WFC01 to the Misol and Ecowitt Homey app.

My setup:

  • Ecowitt GW2000
  • 3 × WittFlow WFC01
  • Homey
  • Misol and Ecowitt app v0.2.33

All three WFC01 devices are correctly paired with the GW2000 and are visible under:

GW2000 → IOT Devices

In Homey, I can select:
Misol and Ecowitt → WittFlow WFC01

However, when I try to add the WFC01, it fails with this error:

Cannot read properties of undefined (reading “command”)

I have tried turning the water timers on/off while Homey is searching, but this makes no difference.

The GW2000 and the other Ecowitt devices are working correctly with Homey.

Could you please check whether there is a problem with the WFC01 driver/device pairing in the current version?

I can provide screenshots or logs if needed.

Since version 0.2.34, I’ve been getting “rain” error messages.

I set up the current rain event (is it raining: yes/no) as a trigger to close the roller shutter when a window is open (an AND condition). Now the shutter keeps going down, even though it isn’t raining. Several times a day.

I can see in the app that the rain status was updated at that moment—but it hadn’t been raining beforehand; it hadn’t rained for hours.

The value updates without an actual rain event, yet it still triggers the action. Is this a bug, or do I need to change my flow?

Edit: For a few weeks, I had a similar problem with “wind.” (In May above) The awning retracts when the wind exceeds a certain level. I encountered “fake wind” issues here as well and had to extensively reconfigure the flow.

So, either the sensor is sending the data that way or I have a decoding bug.
I am going to add some extra logging to capture the actual data from the device so we can check what is being sent. I will let you know when a test version is ready.

I have published a new test version that logs all the data received from the gateway. You will need to turn the logging option on in the app settings. Then as soon as you see a false rain started report, go back to the log page and send the log.
