[APP][Pro] Misol and Ecowitt (Release 0.2.24, Test 0.2.24 )

As a workaround you could just trigger a logic check if the solar power becomes greater than 600 every minute.

work around is fine, but looking for a good solution, a native trigger was best solution.

Working on it now, should be in test soon.

Test version is in the store.

Hi @Adrian_Rockall

Is there any compability with the pool thermometer WN36?

WN36 Pool Thermometer

It looks like it should be possible. If you have one already connected to a gateway, could you open the app settings and send the Detected log using the Send Log button.

Hi Adrian (or someone who has an idea), I have an Ecowitt 2000 hub, a Wittboy WS and a seperate moister/temp sensor. All works fine till now.
I try to add a few WH51 soil-moisture sensors, but that does not work.
The Soil sensora are vivsible in the Ecowitt app, so they are is paired to the Ecowitt hub.
In Homey 2023 I ckick on “new device”, klick on ""Misol and Ecowitt"app and choose the soil moisture sensor and than the searching never stops. Nothing happens.
What could I do wrong? Dit I miss something?
Thank, Willem van Oorschot

It seems to have solved itself. I restarted the Ecowitt app and the Homey … and VOILA, they are there. So no help needed anymore.

Hi Adrian,

I have spent several days troubleshooting this with no success.

Configuration

  • Homey Pro (Early 2023)
  • Homey firmware 13.3.0
  • Misol & Ecowitt app 0.2.31
  • Ecowitt GW2001 (WittBoy)
  • Gateway firmware V3.3.2
  • Freebox Delta LAN
  • Static IP addresses

What works

  • Ecowitt app receives all weather data correctly.
  • Homey discovers the gateway every minute.
  • Homey reads the gateway custom server configuration correctly.
  • Custom Server:
    • Protocol = Same as Ecowitt
    • Homey IP = 192.168.1.28
    • Port = 7777
    • Path = /données/rapport/ (French localization)
    • Upload interval = 16 s
  • Browsing to
    http://192.168.1.28:7777/données/rapport/
    returns “ok”.

Problem

The gateway is visible in Diagnostics Log but no Weather Station can ever be paired.

Selecting either Weather Station or Weather Station (WS…) always ends with:

“No new devices found.”

Diagnostics repeatedly show:

  • Gateway discovered
  • TCP connection established
  • Gateway settings already match Homey
  • Connection closed

but never any weather report being processed.

Could this be a parsing problem or a regression affecting GW2001 on Homey 13.3.0?

I can provide the complete Diagnostics Log if needed.

merci beaucoup, ps, aidé par ChatGPT…

Yes please open the app settings and select the Detected tab and tap on Send Log.

I think this could be the problem as the app is hard coded to /data/report/

As that is only used by the Homey app it doesn’t need to be localised.

**Hi Adrian,**You were absolutely right! The problem was indeed the translated path. After changing /données/rapport/ back to /data/report/, my GW2001 was detected immediately and everything is working perfectly again.

Thank you very much for your patience, your support and especially for your talent. It was a very subtle issue (dixit ChatGPT), and without your experience I don’t think I would ever have found it. I hope this will also help other French users if they run into the same problem.

Thanks again for your excellent work and for maintaining this great Homey app.

Best regards,
Clement.

Hi Adrian,

I am using your Misol and Ecowitt app on my Homey Pro (version 0.2.31).

My setup:

  • Ecowitt HP2564 console
  • Ecowitt WS90 Wittboy Pro (working perfectly in Homey)
  • Ecowitt WN36 water temperature sensor (visible in the Ecowitt app and on the HP2564)

The WS90 was detected and added successfully, but the WN36 is not available as a device in Homey.

Could you please add support for the Ecowitt WN36 water temperature sensor in a future update?

I would like to use the water temperature value for Homey flows (for example, monitoring my koi pond temperature and creating notifications).

Thank you very much for your great work on this app!

Best regards
Marius

Can you send the log from the Detected tab on the app settings page.

Hallo,

Here the Information:

1411f7fc-153c-4328-9262-90118941a8d0

Thank you.

Sorry, wrong log. You need to open the app settings page and select the Detected log tab.

Hello,

I have send again. Can you Check or this is correct? Thanks.

You should be able to add those using the “Temperature Meter” driver.

Its going. Thank you.

My homey pro is linked with a GW2000 A weather station, everything is OK

Except that the data are sended with UTC timezone.
then the daily and weekly counters (rain ) are initialized at 22h00 (in my case in france)

I can’t find how to fix that !
