@Ivelin_Ivanov is it possible to get the Mill devices show in the new Homey Energy tab?
Hi @Ivelin_Ivanov , I was trying to turn off the heater and that did not work in the app anymore (cloud API). i then added the heater with local API and was able to turn it off and on once. after that, the heater was not responding at all and the polled temperatures were not as set on the heater. i then reset the heater as the app could not turn it on either. the addition to the app for the gen3 oil heater was successful and it started heating again. i have the official app working now but would actually like to use a local API instead of a cloud based api. do you by any chance know if they are going to add local API support as well in the official app?
thanks for building this app.
Greets, Bug
The app has had buggy behaviour lately. Not the local devices, but the cloud devices. They are fine in the mill app, but not live in the homey app. A restart of the homey app get them going again, but after few days, same procedure. Thank you for keeping this app alive, and to Jesper who saved it after the disasterous mill migration a couple of years ago. and obviusely for setting up the V2 local integration. That was genius, and keep the devices operating flawlessly
even when the mill cloud goes down.
Hello Kai,
I will look into this during this week. I’ve got a few complains about the Cloud API lately.
Did you use Mill or Millv2 driver?
Best regards,
Ivelin
P.S. Jesper is fantastic! I’ve been unable to reach him since last year, so any suggestions are highly appreciated.
oh! probably the mill driver for the cloud devices.
Hi Kai,
Could you try using the Mill v2 driver, but choose Cloud API and let me know how does that work for you.
Best regards,
Ivelin
Ok, set up one of them with the V2 cloud now. will give you feedback if I notice anything.
Hi Ivelin, tested V2 cloud driver for two days now. It drops out about same time as the mill driver. so the issue persists on both versions.
Hi Kai,
There must be some connection/time out issue between the homey app and Mill Cloud API.
That can be connection related, but let me try replicating the issue on my own set-up.
Could you please try using Mill WiFi homey app (the official app), while waiting for my feedback?
Keep me posted.
Best regards,
Ivelin
I had to migrate to the official app as my socket gen 3 kept timing out and had to restart the app every day basically.
Official app works great and even shows humidity, not sure if this app did. Anyways i do miss the orange lable around the indicator telling me if it was heating or not new app dosnt have this it seems.
Hi Kai,
That’s correct, both of the “Local API” options do the same.
Besides that top one is a local IP network scan, bottom one you can fill in the device’s IP address.
Best regards,
Ivelin
Hello guys,
It has been a week since I’ve sent this request.
Will it be possible for you to point me at the right direction to get this issue sorted out?
Thank you in advance!
Best regards,
Iveli
Sorry Ivelin, what do you need
Hi Kai,
I should have read the e-mail subject first.
I’m waiting for a reply from Homey team to a complicated request of mine, but still no response.
Thank to you, the follow-up message is now heading in the right direction.
Cheers!
Ivelin
Hi. Anything new regarding adjusting power on Oil gen3 in the app?
Hi Smarthus1,
excuse me for the long delay. I’ve just manage to arrange access to an Oil based heater gen3. That one should be delivered end of next week.
I can try to add the functionality during the weekend.
Will you poke me on Sunday next week?
Best regards,
Ivelin
