[App][Pro] LG Modbus

Hey, i played around with some settings and got it working somehow,

Just in homey it doesnt display electrical power, i think the app needs this to calculate cop?

My heatpump does not have meterinterface inside.

Is it possible to make the app get the power information from a diffrent source/device?

Unfortunatly not, I dont believe device adapters should bridge gaps like that
I do need the electrical power to calculate COP indeed, most LG systems allow for an external meter to be installed and sen d it in that way… but I have no idea on how or what.
I use my built in one, but I am also sure its not extremely reliable…
If I would add support for linking to another Homey device that is outside this app, than it will blow up the mem use of this app for example, including full control to the Homey etc etc. Not something I am willing todo.
However if you add an 3rd party energy meter, you can make a virtual advanced device that reads the values from both and do stuff like COP calculations for you.
Exactly the poewr of Homey to do it like that.

Sounds exactly like what i want, still relatively new to homey so wil have to look into how everything works.

I have a homewizard inline meter mounted in the utillitybox
So i shiuld be able to do that, but how i have not yet figured out.

Look at the app ‘device capabilities’ that is the app that can solve this for you

So i got this far, but its not doing anything? What did i do wrong or am i missing something?

The reflect works?

I dont know i just checked the box, no diffrence.

Cant find where i should tell it what to do with the values.

Like value1/value2=COP

I also did some digging in the lg instalation manual,

Turns out its either modbus control or meter interface(the unit thats talks with energy meters)

Heatpump has to be on master to work with meterinterface.

So no power measurements for me from the lg

Great app, Vincent!

This offers real added value compared to LG's ThinQ integration.

I can confirm that it also works with the LG Monoblock R32 model (type: HM051MR U44).

In principle, all key readings and controls work.

The only exceptions are:

-	COP value (this is a known issue, as my unit doesn't detect electrical power consumption either)
-	Water pressure
-	Defrost status (I haven't been able to test this one yet)

Hey, so i had it working great for 1,5 weeks, then last tuesday homey pro went offline for a few hours. And when it came back heatpump stopped talking to homey, tried everything even swapped out a rs485 gateway for a diffrent one but no difference.

anyone has an idea what this could be?
