[APP][Pro] LED-Ring collection (Not compatible with Homey Pro 2023)

New app update (live: 3.3.0):

  • NEW: add platformLocalRequiredFeatures → prevent install on HP23

Was hoping to find this app and disappointed to see Athom disabled it. I am using ThirdReality Night Lights with full RGBs on them for notification lights, but they’re not nearly as good as right on the device. Boooo Athom, Booooo!

Hi Martijn,

I use the app for displaying my energy sell/buy status on the Led ring.

At night, I like the Sparkle - Orange Led effect, but, even at 1%, it still is way too bright, to me that is.
I wonder, while the “Dimmed spectrum” has a nice low brightness:
is it possible to add a general switch, which enables the “dimmed” brightness for all screensavers at once?
It would be great if it can controlled by a flow card as a bonus.

@Peter_Kawa I can investigate that. But maybe Led It Be App for Homey | Homey is more what you’re looking for? :thinking:

Thx. Nah, Led-it-be is too much “in my face”, and it lacks the cool screensavers like Eyes, Sparkle and Pulsetrain.
I like it subtle.

Love this app!

Is it possible to get a weather screen saver aswell added?
I’m looking for something like this
Blue sky (no clouds) = blue static ring with yellow led in the middle
Scattered clouds = blue static ring with scatterade white leds and a yellow led next to a white led.
Overcast = just white
Rain = white static ring, blue blinking random leds.

Or has anyone seen an app like this? :slight_smile:

@TNimitz Thanks
Not really planning to create new features for this app due to the removal of ledring support for newer Homey generations.

maybe you can try my other app for your purpose? Led It Be App for Homey | Homey

Oh nice one :slight_smile:

yes it’s a little bit sad they are abandon the LED ring and not making it even better. Would be cool in the future if homey be something like the la metric.

Am i misinterpreting things, but does it not seem like an app with led animations would be possible again?

@Pantera_Ruber that’s correct
This app is only for older homeys

@martijnpoppen ,

Thank you for the quick reply.

I understand and I realize that I was being unclear.

I will try and be more precise in my question: What I meant was if I was interpreting the SDK correct in that it would be possible to develop a Ledring app for HP2023/26 now? Previously I was under the impression that it was impossible to access the Ledring on those machines, but the SDK does not seem to indicate that that is the currently the case, or am I missing something?

@martijnpoppen ,

Obviously I am slow and I blame that it is a Sunday. :slight_smile:

I see now that you have answered in the affirmative. Sorry for the confusion.
