Hi
i want to have a simple copy job
clearance:
wen I make a entry in Calendar 1 with a specific text , it must copy it to calendar 2
why:
I have a rehearsal calendar.
every time I have to copy this date over to my family calendar ( as the other people in the rehearsal calendar don’t have to know what I am doing in spare time :), read : family calendar)
how can I easily set this up?
i can read both calendars, and have some triggers running already to notify if there is an addon, or change in those calendars. And that works.
But copy an event from 1 calendar to the other still not figured it out how to setup.
Because it’s not possible.
I can’t say if it would generally be technically possible, the app developer may be able to answer this question. But at the moment there is no flow card available that can write or copy an event to a public calendar. There is only a flow card available, that can create an event in an local calendar:
As long as the Synology NAS is hosting a .ics file of the calendar without any authentication needed to read it, and the homey can reach the .ics file, then yes it can
Hi all.
I really love the idea of using my calendar events as triggers. But now after some days of trying, i have to cry for help … i dont get IcalCalender to work
I can add it to my HomeyPro, but there is no option i can link it to my Apple Calender. The only thing in the options i can change is the icon and the energy consumption (for a calendar?). I read nearly all installation articles i could find, but it seems i miss something I think and believe its something very simple and i will bang my head against the wall when i finally got it … but at the moment i feel lost.
Is anybody here who can help me ?
Hi Runely, any idea if this might end up on the roadmap at one point in time? Or should I (unfortunately) just continue with non recurring calendar items?
I knew i missed something simple … it took me another 30 minutes to figure out, that i have to configure the global app settings … i feel a little bit stupid
But now it works! Thank you very much <3
Hi Runely, sorry, in now way should that have been coming across as an entitled push, was sincerely interested if you were planning to include it, if not, no problem. If that came across differently, my apologies.
By the way, before posting this I was genuinely looking for a link to buy “a beer”, as I fully acknowledge that this is done by active participants like yourself, and they should be supported by the effort, especially if that helps solve time on the users side.
Maybe something to include, if you do, I will make use of that, as I have done more often in other cases as well here
