[App][Pro] HomeKitty 😸 (aka HomeyKit 3.0)

According to the diagnostics report, HomeKitty is working fine. There are some devices that are having issues (“ECO-DIM.07 dimmer” and “Lamp Voordeur” for instance) but those issues seem to be with either their respective apps, or Homey itself (the devices are not marked as being ready to use), not HomeKitty.

What exactly do you mean by “no longer showing up”? Have they completely disappeared from Home? Or are they marked as unresponsive?

They are not there. The bridge is not visible under hubs and bridges either but I’m getting a message “accessory is already part of your home” when trying to add it again

Sounds like an issue with Home itself, HomeKitty should show up in the bridges for your home:

The first post of this thread contains some troubleshooting tips, like rebooting all of your home hub devices (Apple TV, HomePod).

I did a full reset of Homekitty. It’s working again.

Good morning, I’m on v2.1.16 of the Panasonic Comfort Cloud App by Johnny Espesete and my three Acs show up fine in the Homey App. In HomeKit though (via HomeKitty v2.4.4 and also latest experimental beta v2.5.4) all Acs show up as actively cooling even though they are all turned off. Turning them off in HomeKit does not do a thing. I shows up as turned of for a few seconds and the reverts back to show as “cooling”. It seems to me Homekitty does not handover the status from your app correctly. Any idea why that is and what to do about it?

Thanks so much and best regards

Dennis

The best thing you can do is open an issue here.

The issue template will ask for certain information that is required for me to debug the problem.

Done. Thank you for the hint.

Hi @robertklep ,

I see in your app that it supports Apple Adaptive Lightning. But when I check my Ikea Kajplats lights it will not show the adaptive light options.

When i add them directly via matter it will work. Am i doing something wrong? Or it it not supported?

Can you give me the name of a light that should support it? I see many lights being mentioned in the log file, but I think all of them aren’t exposed to HomeKit at all.

I exported via Homekitty the light: Sierlamp Dressoir 1, for this test.

Its this model: KAJPLATS E27 WS G95 clear 806lm

The diagnostics report sadly doesn’t show the initialisation of that device, which should show if HomeKitty enables adaptive lighting for it or not.

Try “unpublishing” the light from the HomeKitty app settings, then publish it again, then create a new diagnostics report.

Can you try the just-published v2.5.5? https://homey.app/a/name.klep.homekitty/test/

Hi @robertklep

Just tried: 7cff1e13-f652-4f9d-9a59-b1108443a7ed

I also tried readding them

Can you try again (unpublish, publish, report)? I’m only seeing the device not being published.

Hi @robertklep

I did now

1dcb1844-5450-4020-89c3-7ff58188810e

The log now says Adaptive Lighting is enabled:

2026-05-28T12:19:24.806Z [log] [HomeKitty] [Sierlamp Dressoir 1] - Adaptive Lighting enabled

Since I don’t use HomeKit anymore, I have no idea how this should present itself in the Home app, but it may take some time before it shows up because the device has basically changed. Sometimes you may need to reboot Home hubs (AppleTV, HomePod’s) before changes are shown.

Added two ac’s in my home with the app Mitsubishi WF-RAC. Work great in Homey.

They do show up in Apple Home, but they’re missing options. They are two of the same ac’s.

One only shows automatic and the other doesn’t respond to commands.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

See the first post.

Homey has a fixed ip, rebooted the hub. No changes…
