[APP][PRO] Grohe Sense & Grohe Sense Guard

Hi everyone!

I have created a new Homey Pro app for Grohe Sense and Grohe Sense Guard, and a test version is now available for public testing.

Overview:

  • Control the Water Valve: Open, close, and toggle the main water supply (Sense Guard).
  • Monitor Telemetry: Read water pressure, flow rate, consumption, temperature, and humidity.
  • Alarms & Security: Receive instant notifications and trigger flows for water leaks, micro-leakages, and frost warnings.
  • Easy Setup: Log in directly with your Grohe account credentials during pairing.

I would love to get your feedback before submitting the app for official certification by Athom. Please share your thoughts, test results, or bug reports here in this thread.

I litterally just prompted Claude to write an app for Grohe Sense Guard, when I searched the forum and found your app.

So far your app works and looks great. All sensors/data and the on/off button works.

A few suggestions:

In the next version perhaps you can add a setting or button to clear alarms? (i get an alarm every few days due to a leaky toilet, and it would be nice to be able to clear the alarm in the homey app as well).

Also your links to sourcefiles and issues/support on the test download page are not working. You might want to update before you submit to publish with Athom.

Anyways, you just “ruined” my evening with Claude :slight_smile: I will look for a different project.

I’ll look into how to make it possible to clear an alarm. It will likely need to be a selectable status setting you can set. I’ll also make sure to publish the code on GitHub and update the information.

I will post here as soon as I have something ready for testing.

New test version (v1.1.1) of the Grohe Sense app is now uploaded and available for testing!

What’s New in v1.1.1:

  • Silence Alarms Button: Added a dedicated “Silence Alarms” button directly on the device control page.

  • Unified Alarm Control: Instead of cluttering the UI with individual buttons for every alarm type (water leak, micro leak, frost), I opted for a clean, unified button that mutes and resets all active alarms at once while keeping all three alarm statuses neatly visible on the sensor overview.

    Flow Action Card: You can also silence alarms automatically via Flows using the new action card “Silence / Reset alarms”.

It’s tricky to simulate alarms at home so I haven’t had the opportunity to physically test every alarm trigger. Feedback and test reports from anyone experiencing or testing alarms are very much appreciated!
