[APP][Pro] Elekeeper / SAJ eSolar Inverters

Nice! Will give it a try, thanks.

No luck. Says the connection took to long time. Please advice.

I try to implement them! Codex out of credits for today :stuck_out_tongue:

Hello, how do I login ?

Do you have it connected to any other source via modbus?

No, no other connections I guess. Not that familiar with modbus I must admit.

nope

I created a separate thread for the modbus discussion not to pollute this thread:

It’s working now! Just added Modbus to Homey (see separate thread) .

Looking good!

Lost the connection to HS3 suddenly. Just says it’s not available, double checked everything so I’m a bit lost here. Sorry for the Swedish here.

And now over the night it suddenly started working again. Perhaps there were too many requests sent when I was trying to fix the problem yesterday? Anyway, it’s working again as it should

@Dennis_Berggren Your app is for the Elekeeper battery only?
So I can keep my app for the solar inverter only?
Maybe not perfect, but easier to maintain

@telenut Yes, to my understanding the modbus application can more or less only work with the batteries, see screen shot above from @Per_Rydell . The modbus connection is also direct between Homey and the HS3 (HS2?) locally, without going via Elekeeper.

From my side am I using both apps, it’s very handy from the home screen to see both SOC and power on the same page:blush:. Perhaps there are other ways to do this.

@Dennis_Berggren Proposal: since your Modbus app talks directly to the HS3 battery, would you be willing to maintain the battery side? I would then remove all battery features from Elekeeper and focus only on the solar inverter part. That way we each maintain one app and nothing overlaps.

To everyone using my test version with battery support: would this work for you? Let me know if you depend on something that the Modbus app can’t do (yet), so we don’t leave anyone without a working setup. I’ll wait for your feedback before removing anything.

From my side would it be the SOC please. I’m using it.:+1:. But I have just found out a way to show the two battery data I want to display from Dennis app by using Device Capabilities so I’m fine
