@Sharkys About the start/stop charging.

  • Can you enable debug logs in the device settings? (Yes! a new feature :smiley: )
  • try to start/stop charging
  • send diagnostic report

Sure, in the afternoon as my wife ran away with the car :wink: Debug…great !

I can stop charging my Audi A3 hybrid in the Audi app by switching to “scheduled charging” (I click the button where I normally edit the charging schedules, this stops charging when (instant) charging is active)

@martijnpoppen I will test some more this afternoon (need to drive a bit)

For the Golf GTE the start and stop charging button is not functioning yet (only A3 is on the issue list :wink: )
The start charging on the GTE overrides whatever was in the schedule and will start the charging at max speed (16A) up to 100% charge.
The plug detection is working for unplug and plugged states. :tada:

One thing that we might want to get on the to do list is the max charge to % and charging speed (5, 10, 13 or MAX that is 16) so this can also be taken into consideration when a charge session is scheduled in the VW we connect app the current can be set to a safe value (based on household consumption) and the max value can be overridden from 20% on workdays to 80% on nights and weekends when there is cheaper rates.
i know the values are in the API :
“charger”: {
“settings”: {
maxChargeCurrent”: {
“content”: 16,
“timestamp”: “2022-01-04T09:48:55Z”
and
“timerBasicSetting”: {
“timestamp”: “2022-04-01T21:31:04Z”,
chargeMinLimit”: 20,
“targetTemperature”: 2960
}

Also the remaining charging time would be nice to have (in minutes):
remainingChargingTime”: {
“content”: 100,
“timestamp”: “2022-04-03T18:05:41Z”
}

The plug detection is very nice as that helps with the turning on of the charge points that i have at home to start detection where the car is connected.

temperature changes to the pre heating/cooling work and are set to the VW app from homey.

Again great job!!

Thanks @Bug

The remainingChargeTime I already implemented for the ID cars, so will make the mapping for the GTE (hybrids).

The maxChargeCurrent and chargeMinLimit I can add :slight_smile:

Hi Martijn,

Flow triggers for power connected and car is at home are working for the Etron 55. Setting the temperature doesn’t working, but I doesn’t have this option in the Audi app. Start stop charging doesn’t work either. For me not a big issue as I steer this part from the charging station (New motion).

Great work!

Regards,

Harry

Hey @Harry

Thanks!
If your car doesn’t support the temp it’s indeed not possible. i cannot really see this in the API so it’s quite hard to find the difference per car/model/accesoires.

you can disbable the temperature remote via the device settings. :slight_smile:

Seems like this broken for everybody :frowning: (except the new ID and new Etron cars)

Hi Marijn,

Starting and stopping the climate does work. But setting the target temperature doesn’t.

How can is switch of this temperature screen? I I’ll only see the option to remove the start climate button.

Regards,

Harry

@Harry yep you’re right. I will make a option for that. Didn’t expect that a car would have climater option but not the temperature option. :sweat_smile:

@Harry I did quickly check the data I got from you. But it looks like your car supports it somehow. At least it reports data for the climate temp :thinking:

When you go to the settings in the MyAudi app do you see anything over there?

That’s where VW hides it:

New app update (test: 1.2.0): (auto update only)

Hi Martijn,

See previous posts.

Stefan also has an Audi Etron 55 with these target temperature in the Audi app, but I don’t have this option in the app. Strange, maybe a different type of clime control?

Regards,

Harry

@Harry Ah thanks, I lost that post :smiley:
But yes looks different. I’ll make it optional. But have to make some changes for that.

There’s nothing remotley like this in the (in my) MyAudi app. MyAudi app is really featureless (in dutch “kut” :wink: ; a button to set one climate schedule, a button to set 2 charging schedules and a button the see some drivinglogs. No “car settings” at all.

  • When the car is not charging (but waiting on a schedule) you can start charging (by pressing a button in the charging schedule menu
  • when the car is charging I can stop charging when I press the chargingschedule button (it then switches from charging to “waiting on schedule”)
  • I can press the climate button to faststart climate (or I can change the schedule)
  • I cannot set a temperature in the climate schedule menu, only a schedule

I don’t really have more options, maybe on a 100% etron (EV) there’s more to see.

They even removed the mileage from the app in the last update. The drivinglog is totally useless.

Regarding Homey and temp:
The temperature in my car is set to 20,5C, but the app always shows 22C, changing it does nothing.

I just did a small drive

  • when I disconnected the charger I got an update at some point which trigger a flow so that worked
  • I drove 10km to a shop
  • app updated to 1.2.0 in the meantime
  • and drove 10km back (roughly 45min later)
  • no updates f.e. on mileage
  • when home I connected the charger
  • press force update a few time, but nothing happened (not even an update on the mileage)
  • the battery showed 40% however (so that was updated?)
  • tried charging, nothing
  • restarted the app
  • now I got an update on mileage and charging plug (both in a simple status message flow from I got a message)
  • restarted the app
  • tried charging, nothing
  • tried charging with a flow to start it, nothing
  • started charging in myAudi (which strangly reports 4min charging time, should be 1-1,5hours)
  • force update in Homey, no update on charging state (in fact no update on any value when I check the update time on the different specs)
  • restart app
  • charging state updated
  • charging time now 135min
  • send you a diagreport

I have flows now that report updates on mileage,charging plug, charging state and remaining charging time now, will check if they work correctly (mileage trigger surely worked before today)

It seems (not sure!) I really need to restart the app to get updates now (I got updates on f.e. mileage before 1.2.0, so it might be I’m just impatient)

btw Max charging shows 32A, which is not correct (10 or 16A) (don’t really care about that)

do the scheduled climatization show 22C in the car (or in the Audi App) as the set temperature?

@martijnpoppen charging is still broken for the A3 and the GTE correct?

@Bug there is no temp setting in the climate schedule section of my myAudi app, I can only set a timer or start instantly
Charging does not work on my A3 yet (climate start - v2 in the homey app - worked a while ago, haven’t tested that latetly)

Thanks, no high priority

my car ended charging; this triggered the flow with the trigger “charging is changed” (transl. from dutch), so that works

My flow with
WHEN remaining charging time is changed
AND rem. ch. time < 1
THEN send message

does not fire; the parameter of the cars stays at 5 min (while the car is full now). It probably would have fired if I raise the AND to < 6 min.

I hope the Homey app Suits you better :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice, Lets check that. I did a update for token refresh. Will check your logs to see if that works properly.

Oh awesome, wonder were that Comes from :sweat_smile:
