Hi! Thanks for a great (and very well maintained) app! I just switched from a bunch of Aeotec nano dimmers to Shelly dimmers. Very pleased/happy thus far.

However, I have a humble request (since using Chronograph transitions isn’t as smooth as I would like):
Would it be possible to add “duration” to the “Dim to” action card?

Which Shelly unit are you using for this flow? I fiddled around without finding anything resembling “Actie gebeurtenis” using Shelly1, Shelly RGBW2 or Shelly Dimmer.

Could you please describe the process on how to set this up?

Like:

  1. Create flow
  2. When… Shelly dimmer --> Turned on
  3. Then… and so on.

No, the Shelly API does not allow to set dim duration per individual request. You can ask Allterco Robotics (company behind Shelly) to add this feature. If they do I’ll add it to the app. For now you are stuck with one setting per device for dim duration.

  1. Create flow
  2. Add trigger action card from the Shelly app (not from any of your devices) called “Action event”
  3. Add a Logica condition card for filtering on the name of the device using the Name token
  4. Add a Logica condition card for filtering on the action you want this flow to trigger on using the Action token
  5. Add your actions

If you dont know the action name to filter on you you can first create a flow with this trigger card and an action card wich sends the action as a notification to your mobile using the Action token.

Not that I know of. But my experience with Allterco Robotics is that they do not respond to my requests to make improvements since they have grown as a company. There are more improvements that I have suggested but I’m still waiting for a response.

  • Added the option to add a custom device icon (.svg) during pairing for the Shelly Gas, Shelly Button 1, Shelly Plug, Shelly Plug-S, Shelly1 and Shelly 2. More devices will follow. If you want to use a custom icon for an existing devices re-pairing is required. It cant be changed after pairing.

Very nice function, waiting for the other devices.

Edit: would it be possible to choose different icons for each relay in shelly 2 and 2.5?
I have a 2.5 with a light and a pump

v1.25.0 - 2020-06-02

  • Added the option for custom device icons (.svg) for all devices. If you want to use a custom icon for an existing devices re-pairing is required. It cant be changed after pairing.
  • Optimized the way the action events / callbacks work. For the Shelly Door/Window sensor this means the events open_dark and open_twilight have changed to dark and twilight.
  • Replaced the polling of the Shelly H&T sensor to using the report url callback functionality.
  • Reduced lines of code by re-using templates.

My shelly App has an unexpectedly stopped Error after automatically Update to 1.25 Version in this minute.
Reboot of Homey is no solution.

When adding the shelly 2.5 as a relay, it does not assume the icon I choose. If I do it as a roller if it does.
Is it possible to implement choose 2 different icons for each relay in shelly 2 / 2.5?

Yes, I need to fix that. It’s a copy/paste issue while updating all drivers. I’ll look into it later today.

I made a post (in the support forum of Shelly) in support of adding duration in the API so we can get it in the Dim to-card.

The svg icon in shelly 1, 1PM, 2 and RGB works. But in 2.5 and EM don’t work, the app put the default icon.

An update to fix this is already pending approval in the app store.
