I would always use local accounts. But how this could affect connecting to Growatt API I don’t know.
Perhaps Robin can find something in your logs.
I’ve seen the same problem with the Daikin app, it looks like somehow something changed in the behaviour of the browser window that handles the logon at the third party API.

I was planning to buy a Homey Pro for this reason to connect to the Growatt inverter …
But since the app connection is not working, I will have to hold my horses

Just be patient please, the developer is not running a big company, it’s a one guy operation
And Robin knows what he’s doing, he wrote some great apps.
Second, it’s not easy troubleshooting when things work fine for user X, but don’t work for user Z.
Third, it’s not always clear if it’s an app issue, or a Homey issue (which is Athom’s responsibility)
These kind of arguments are a bit useless on this user forum. We don’t sell them Homeys
