Same problem here (Homey Pro 2023). I’d also like to create a flow that restarts the app under certain conditions. PowerUser is enabled, but I’m missing a message about restarting the app. There’s only a message about restarting Homey. What am I doing wrong?
Hmm
, I cannot find that specific card in the System section on my Homey either. Maybe it is available on older Homey models (pre-2023). Or it was available in an older firmware version and Athom moved it to the Apps section.
I switched to the other knmi app in the app store. Works for me
Indeed that is an alternative. However, it does not include several datapoints that the official app does provide. Like details on the active weather alarm and sun radiation intensity. Some of my flows depend on those datapoints. So I hope the official app gets fixed soon
.
We have sent our partner an email inquiring about the reason for the current API limitation. Over a year ago, they granted us access to the unlimited version of API v2, as version 1 of their API would eventually be discontinued.
We are currently still awaiting a response.
As a good temporary workaround, you can try restarting your KNMI app at the moment it starts displaying “0” values. Once the API issue is resolved, this flow will no longer be triggered.
Please do not send us any more reports regarding the “0” values shown by the app.
For all other issues, please post your problem on the forum first, and we will request a report if needed.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Maybe the option to allow private api key and custom polling (every 10 min?). This should stay within their 300 limit a day.
I use this flow:
When tested the values are “back”. But it does not trigger when value goes zero.
What goes wrong?
The pressure value will not change I believe so the flow will not be triggered. Why not check periodically where values like temperature and pressure are both 0 and then restart app?
Yes I know. But then you make a breaking changes. So it will give me a lot of reports ![]()
Fair enough, just try to help. And I know those reports from my app. ![]()
Tnx try that.
Waardeer ik!
They are killing🤣
Currently I am already running a modified version where you have to enter an apikey yourself. But when weerlive takes limit off it works everywhere right away again. By the way, they have adjusted it to 500 requests per month
So every 90 minutes. That works for me. Thanks!
Hi Leon, Thanks for all the work done! I’m not sure if you follow also the KMI discussions ([APP][Pro][Cloud] KMI (Belgium) - #50 by Rudi_Tholen), but it appears we have the same problem with perhaps a different cause as I see a different response. Perhaps this can help to solve the problem. The number of triggers should not be the problem as one has to collect the date only once a day and receives a multiple hour/day forecast.
I Crated a workaround with the following flow:
Where I collect the “expected” rain and create a string which could be used on a display.
The “expected” rain I use as an input for the amount of irrigation needed for the Rainbird unit
Hi @Rudi_Tholen if you are interested, I just finished my Irrigation app, taken into account the groundwater level (in NL) and the evaporation and rain past 3 days and coming 4 days… If you are interested, let me know…
For now I keep the KNMI app rebooted every time its reconnecting:
@Wout_van_den_Dool hi Wout, I’m veru much interested in your irrigation app.
