Create a KNMI device (apparaat) first.
Thanks, that was the trick!
Hi,
I cannot get any insights. Is that by design?
@LRvdLinden since tody the knmi app stops working and displays no data
After a restart it wordks for a short period of time but then it stops again.
Until today it worked fine
Any clue? Homey 12.5.0, app v4.0.2
Same issue here. It seems to relate to todayās values only. After I set my location again and restart the KNMI app, the data is available again for some time. However after the next data update, they are not available anymore.
I have monitored my device for 3 hours and it updates perfectly. Is your ho full of memory?
I have the same problem, even after an reboot the problem returns.
Okay found it.
I need to contact our api partner about it.

Maybe lower the polling rate? Or make it customizable?
Looking forward to what the problem is and what the solution can be!

I have made a temporary workaround. Every 15 minutes I check whether certain values from KNMI are zero (current temperature and current real feel). If both are zero, I restart the app. Then it works again for some time and my flows (including screens for the sun) continue to function.
I have the same problem. Apps does not work at all. After a restart the problem is not solved
The Belgium KMI app seems to have similar problems.
Since a few days I also see 0 (null) or empty values for the current data (Huidige temperatuur, Gevoelstemperatuur, Luchtvochtigheid, Douwpunt, etc.). Iām sad about it, because this app is really useful for me to give me a sign on a warm evening when itās time to open the windows.
Changing the language or re-installing the app helps only for a few minutes.
I also created a diagnostic report: b30e8871-3427-46d2-8743-d1d2d7b6434d. Does this give you extra information?
For now, Iām using a Homey Bridge.
You are not the only one running into this issue. Check 5 posts above yours for the response of the developer. To be continued.
Agree. I would be fine with a (half) hourly update.
I wouldnāt since my flow closes the windscreen if it getās to windy.
30 mins would be way to long thenā¦
But with 10 mins you stay well under 300/24 ?
I think the current update frequency is already around every 10 mins.
I am currently using a temporary flow that checks every minute for missing data (i.c. local temperature of 0 degrees) and if so, restarts the KNMI app. The restart does fetch updated data. I can see that the app restarts approx. every 10 mins with an occasional 20 minute exception.
Same here, and itās the only time(s) the app updates itās data. Only occasionaly it needs to reboot because there is no data.
But if it does, it does severeal times before getting data (sometimes 5 times)
