[APP][Pro][Cloud] KNMI

Weerlive v2 api says “Today 0% rain chance in Hoogland, Netherlands” (see below). That’s why Homey-KNMI says the same.

The Weerlive site itself says:

, and Buienradar and Buienalarm and Accuweather: 100% rain.

I have seen this multiple times, so the Homey-KNMI app is not to blame. Is the Weerlive api a reliable source for the Homey-KNMI app? I don’t think so, based on multiple observations with rain data.

@LRvdLinden Please contact the Weerlive api makers in order to correct this ongoing bug.

Edit: The same Weerlive api says this in the hourly forecast about rain for the rest of today:

100% chance of rain is not that it’s 24h raining.
It means that the chance of rain on that day is 100%.
That can be a very short time or a long time.

Hi there,

can someone explain to me how i implement in my flow if it’s going to rain in the next hour so my sunscreens are going up, see screendump of my flow so far.

Best regards Peter.

I think it is more usefull to start this function in an advanced flow, there you do have much more possibilities to connect actions and states with a result.

If it is possible in a standard flow, I am not sure about that

Hi Sschot,

Thanks for your quick replay, and I’ve got advanced flows it came with my new secondhand Homey but i didn’t use the function yet, maybe you or someone else can explain to me how ??

Thanks again and best regards Peter.

Fully different situation. But
When bewegingsmelder uit → 2 conditions true → licht uit
When helderheid is groter dan → licht uit
When nachtalarm uit → licht uit

I think you can rebuild your existing and add the function you prefer

Try the Homey Buienalarm app with lot of IF functions. As far as I know, the KNMI app does not have similar options.

I only say, that the Weerlive data is inconsistant and incorrect regarding the rain chance: telling the rain chance for today is 0% (parameter “neersl_perc_dag”), but the same api data shows rain (“neersl”) > 0 for the afternoon on the same day, and the api text for today says “Today a lot of rain”.

Hi there,

Is there any chance of adding the “stookwijzer” / stookalart” data from
kNMI as a trigger?

Hi Amersfoort,

Thanks for your suggestion, I’ve been using that all the time, but because of Memory issues/shortage I’m want to minimize my amount of installed apps.
I used this KNMI app for the rest of my weather data, but I don’t know how to implement the rain data, that’s why.

Thanks for your contribution and brainstorming with me.
Best regards Peter.

Hi Steven,

Thanks for your advanced flow explanation, but I still don’t know how to make a flow to get the rainfall prediction data and add that into an advanced flow.

Best regards Peter.

The Homey 2023 has 2 GB memory and 2.66 GB storage + some swap memory; enough for a lot of apps. Are you using Homey 2019?

I do not have all your VAR, but you can easy rebuild your flow and add triggers that go to a certain action within the advanced flow

Hi Amersfoort,

Yes I have a HP2019.

Best regards Peter.

Hi Steven,

If the option “Rain next hour” was available on a Card here @ KNMI then I could manage but there isn’t one.

But thanks for your contribution.
Best regards Peter.
