I have now mentioned several times that I cannot do anything about this, as the Casambi API simply dictates which devices are supported. This means it is not a matter of adjusting my program code but is entirely dependent on Casambi itself.
If Casambi support states that it is not related to the API, they should be able to clarify why certain devices are not working and whether a solution is possible. I recommend discussing this directly with them.
When I ask to Casambi Support why the Foscarini lamps are not visible (with use of the API), they come back with technical questions which I cannot answer:
Hi Tom,
Thank you for your reply.
I donât think the problem is caused by a specific firmware or hardware. What is the exact query you are using? Have you tried using the API-web console to see if you get the requested information there with the filled network session information: API console
If your request query works fine using the console after creating a session, then the issue is likely somewhere else.
In order to use the Casambi API, you must first create a âUser sessionâ or a âNetwork sessionâ. Have you done this?
âInstructions:
1. Acquire user (site) or network credentials with at least one network and connected devices (Casambi app).
2. Test how authentication and requests work with REST API web console.
Is there someone in the community (with the right technical knowledge) who knows how to test this and can sent the requested information to Casambi support?
Hi all, Iâm new here. I donât own a Homey yet, because I want to have a simple question answered first. Probably a stupid question, because not 100% sure how Homey works Anyway, almost all my lights are managed using Casambi app and Gira EnOcean switches. I would really like to add these to my Apple Home app and running easier automations (from there or with Homey). Is that possible with Homey and this app? If so, I will continue buying a Homey
Hi everyone,
I have casambi cloud gateway, I could add luminaries to homey pro. My problem is there is a kind of delay. If I would like to turn on all lights in living room, only 1 turnes on. My luminaries are all Occhio.
This week I installed the Casambi app on my Homey Pro and used my iPad as gateway. I was able to add my luminaries, which are all from Occhio. I was able to switch on/off and dim the lights. However the main problem I have now is that my gateway on the iPad looses connection with the cloud: âGateway device âiPadâ for network âThuisâ has not been connected to cloud for 32m .â When I pick-up my iPad again and open the Casambi app again it seems to re-establish the connection and it works again. How can I setup the Casambi gateway such that it does not loose the connection. Is there a better way to run the Casambi gateway.
@Doekse Could you please help us? Some users like me canât find all our Casambi devices. Could you check with Casambi to see if they can help us resolve the issue?
I think that one problem with luminaires not showing up / working correctly has something to do with how the fixture profile are made within the casambi system.
My units with relay fucntion are not working correctly. Does not respond at all. I think this is since they are made with âCustom Elementsâ in the fixture profile and not like a standard dimmable luminaire. I also have a couple of RGBW units and they are shown up as only dimmable.
I have a few drivers with two channels which are not showing up at all. Each channel of the driver are also built with custom elements in the Casambi-profile so most likely something with this.
I am however testing this on an old Classic network so might also have to do with the problem.
