I must say that the widget looks very good! I do have two requests that I would like to see changed. The line on the first item is not properly aligned. It would be nice if this were aligned.
Additionally, I miss the option to show days when nothing is planned. For example, with the text: Nothing is planned today.
Really useful app, thank you for developing and sharing.
I have what may be a unique use case in that I have many multiple-day events. Currently, the first date of the event is shown, for example, March 26th. But today is April 6th, and nothing shows in the calendar related to the event, although the event is still active.
It would be really nice to have the event show up for today rather than the original start date, which is misleading. Possibly with some reference to the original start date showing a description indicating a multi-day event “Started: mm/dd/yy for ## days”. Or just “Started: mm/dd/yyyy Ending: mm/dd/yyyy”
Also, the start date is off by one day on multi-day events. Please see attached images.
This is a great widget! Would it be possible to add the option to display a placeholder text on empty days? That would help me to easily see which days I have to work and on which days I’m off.
Hi, i really like the looks and functionality of this app! One idea I would like to run by you: Would it be “within scope” to add a simple centered watch to the top of the widget?
Fantastic app! Love that it fits in with the Homey GUI perfectly.
I have a few development suggestions:
An option to choose between either ‘Today’/‘Tomorrow’ date titles and actual day of the week titles. My OCD get’s upset that the separators are not aligned when the dates show ‘Today’ or ‘Tomorrow’ and having simply the day (Mon-Sun) would fix this!
An option to add a name for who the calendar belongs to. I understand that the coloured separators is a decent indicator of this, but I believe adding a name will give further context.
An option to show placeholder text on dates where there are no events. Rather than skipping a day or not having any events shown at all if none are due, have a placeholder like ‘No Events Today! ’ to confirm there are actually no events. Plus, this will help fill the widget where a fixed height has been set.
I’d really appriciate if you would consider the above suggestions. I’m happy to provide comprehensive testing and feedback if needed!
Hi, me again. The topmost (multi-day) event started Tue 23rd at 17:00 and ends Sat 27th at 14:00. Is the observed behavior in the widget intended? I like that it shows as active with start date (yesterday), but perhaps ending time should have an indication of day or date? Thanks!
Hi, I’m hoping this is just me doing a dumb, but I have tried to install and configure this app several times now (I even tried, out of desperation, the dreaded switch it off and back on again). But when I go to Settings / Apps / Calendar-cloud, there are no settings options that I can see to paste in my ICS link for automations. I can see a number of other people here successfully using the app, so I suspect I am doing a dumb or missing something obvious. I have the widget displaying my calendar on a dashboard okay. And I started to create a flow with the app’s When/And/Then cards okay, but they obviously don’t work as I can’t for the life of me find where to configure the calendar URL for them.
I would greatly appreciate a pointer in the correct direction (I swear the recent heatwaves are messing with my mind, or perhaps it’s early senility )
