[APP][Pro] Calendar-cloud - An elegant multi-calendar widget for your Dashboard

I’m not sure if you wanted me to test the 1.0.7 version, but unfortunately I still see duplicate calendar items :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

I just released a new test update. (1.0.8)

Changelog: Fixed duplicate events (especially from Google Calendar).

Can you test this?

@Olivier67 awesome! It’s fixed in test version 1.0.8 :star_struck: Thank you so much!

Ah ok, then it is more a taste thing no worries, maybe making it possible to make the difference between the big day and the remaining items more distinct and the date collum height more in line with with the items as mentioned before, the bigger height seems a little off , but than again my current items do not have locations (for this week  )

Live dot is working for me now.

Keep up the good work, thanks!

Hi @Olivier67 ,

Sorry to bother you again

The duplicate items if resolved now, but I discovered that the location (:round_pushpin:) of some items is not getting updated.

Today (9th of March) I work (werken) from home so I removed my appointment location, but it is still showing on the calendar as you see above.

This is currently in my Google Calendar:

When I compare that with my appointment for tomorrow that one is showing the address (location) :

Can you see what is going on?

Merci beaucoup :hugs:

Hello @Borssie

Can you test the new version : 1.10.0
We have made corrections for recurring events for Google ICS. and add new features.

Changelog:
Hello

Change log v1.10.0

  • Smart Icons: Automatic emoji icons based on keywords (Birthdays :birthday_cake:, Sport :soccer_ball:, etc.).
  • Customization: Define your own icon rules and emojis in settings.
  • Fix: iCal recurrence bug where location was not properly updated for modified instances.

Thx for testing

Hi @Olivier67 unfortunately not fixed in 1.10.0 (nice additions though :hugs: )

Maybe I found out the reason why it still shows. I’m using a re-occuring event which takes place every weekday. Maybe that’s the reason why it keeps showing the location? Even though I removed the location that specific day?

When for example today, I change the location to a different place, that will change, so it’s weird. But once I revert it back to no location it will again show the “original” location of the re-occuring event

Hello

I see exactly the problem. It seems that Google Calendar isn’t explicitly passing the ‘Empty Location’ information in the swap file for recurring events. My widget therefore thinks it has to ‘inherit’ the default location from the series. I’ve identified the responsible part of the code and I’m working on a more refined logic to fix this in the next version.

@Borssie
Changelog V 1.10.1

Improved recurrence handling: fixed an issue where removed locations on modified instances were being re-added from the master event.

can you test the version

Hi @Olivier67 ,

Thank you for the very fast update! :slightly_smiling_face:
I indeed see some changes in the re-occuring events, though I spotted something different too, see below:

This is on the Homey widget:

This is on my Google Calendar:

As you see, friday 13th i’m off (vrij) which is the blue calendar item
(orange is private calendar)
But on the calendar cloud widget it still says that I’m having a work (werken) item with corresponding time (and location)

Should I send you a different diagnostic report?

Thank you !

I would like to buy you a coffee for all the effort you put into this app for assisting me (and others off course)

Hello,

I’ve fixed your problem (probably due to a change in your day and a small bug).

I’ve also added some new features in the meantime (again!).

Thanks for the donation; I’ll activate it in my applications as soon as I push the new version for certification.

Let me know if this version also fixes your problem.

Changelog
v1.11.0

  • New features: Added options for countdown timer, month separators, and a toggle for ‘All Day’ labels.
  • Stability: Improved recurrence handling to correctly hide cancelled or modified instances in Google Calendar (Fix for duplicates).

Nice widget, looks great.

Scrolling doesn’t really work on my Samsung S21, scrollbar sometimes works but scrolling inside the widget doesn’t.

Other options what would be nice it the font size, some presets like smal/medium/normal/bigger? Cause for my phone the font size is a bit to big.

This version looks to have fixed all the “issues” I found. Great, thank you so much! I’ll wait for your official certification and then I’ll buy you a coffee

Hello,

I’ll look into fixing the display on Android.

And regarding the text size, that’s also planned.

Hello Olivier,

Auto update is not working for me, can you take a look?

My version is stuck on 1.06

Version 1.2.2, smaller font works nice. But scrolling inside the widget isn’t working. What if you put the scrollbar one the left? Cause the one for homey is on the right.

Hello,
Okay, that’s great about the text; it’s a new feature, like the themes.

Regarding your problem, you’re the only one experiencing it so far; I have many users. The easiest thing would be to post a screenshot.

Thank you
