[APP][Pro and Cloud] Daikin ONECTA

I cannot get the “When” cards activated and inactivated to trigger - is this a known issue? Or is it simply related to the delay issues others describe in this thread as of recently?

This fixed my issues of temperature not updating! Thanks

Which trigger?
Which driver?

With only a scrambled screenshot there now way to give a proper answer

Hi,

Turns out the card and trigger worked after all, eventually, but with a delay of ~15 minutes (which, sadly, undermines the value of it for my particular use case).

I see previous posts in this thread mentioning delays due to API rate limits - are these kind of delays to be expected?

For your questions @Mickel_Luiten:

  • Regarding trigger, I think that’s evident from my previous comment, and the card used in the screenshot - whenever the device is turned on or off, I expect an event to fire (which also happens, but after a delay)
  • For driver version, I’m not sure exactly - could you please elaborate? I re-installed the app recently, upon reading this thread, getting the impression that was necessary or beneficial.

Thanks!

Hi
We have four Daikin air to air Prefera’s airconditioners (that are also used for heating) in our houses and are searching for advice to make them controllable via a thermostat instead of the IR remote control devices of Daikin. This in each of those rooms and/or central in the living room. Does anyone have experience with this? Which thermostat do you use for this? Has anyone made flows to make the airco controllable via such a thermostat? Centrally and or per room?

After receiving the latest update 6.0.4 today all my Daikin Airconditioners are no longer accessible in Homey Pro (2016). Why did you kill all my devices ?
FYI they are all in the separate Daikin Onecta android app but I need Homey Pro access to automate my room temperature control. I see you mention “old” drivers and “universal” drivers but how do I get the required drivers???

Then you have not updated to the latest drivers, remove your devices and add them again with the new driver :

If you read in the history of this topic this is many time alreasy asked and answered!

And you totaly ignore the timeline messages, many time is announced the old drivers will be removed from the code.

I understand what you’re saying, thx. My timeline messages are all messed up and cut off due to memory overflow and I’ve not been able to fix that yet so I missed out on these messages.

You can fix that by doing a factory reset and install the latest backup. All temporary files like logs and insight data is removed and the device starts working again ( until it fills up again). If you don’t want that, you should consider upgrading to the latest Homey Pro 2023.

Thx for the advice. I actually have the 2023 Pro sitting on the shelf for more than a year but didn’t want to switch over as I then would miss out on the built in speaker of the old Pro . I may have to reconsider upgrading.

Hi Mickel,

The app was updated, I removed the heat pump and re-added it and also the hot water tank without a glitch, great!

One question, will you be adding more capabilities to the devices, I’d be very interested in getting the energy usage (I think measure_power) throughout the day to show in Homey Energy.

The energy is there already. It needs to settle in the energy tab.

On the device there is a energy sensor capability with total and always increasing. The energy tab will calculated the day/week/month automaticly by this capability.

Note from athom docs:
the meter_power capability must always be positive and ever-increasing (cumulative). Homey Energy calculates energy usage over a given period by analyzing the difference in this value over time. If meter_power capability values are periodically reset to zero or decrease unexpectedly, it may lead to data loss.

Check the device on the development page you see the capability meter_power

Be patient en check tomorrow the energy tab needs to have some data for 24h before the device shows up

I just realized that there is maybe a bug in the energy reading of the watertank.

Let me investigate this tomorrow.

In the previous screenshot the reading of the hearpump and watertank is the same and that not correct

Ah, that’s great, thanks!

I just checked Homey Energy and the devices already show, but indeed with the same value on both devices.

Its is a bug and solved in test version 6.0.5. https://homey.app/a/climate.onecta.daikin/test/

Use the testversion or wait for Athom to approve this version for live.

Advice is to remove the data from the energy tab for the hotwatertank because it will be messed up in the statistics…

I did now reinstall my heatpumps in Homey as adviced. But now all the previous settings in the flows for the heat pumps are gone. Are there any ways to find what the settings were for each flow? Ie temperature, fan speed…

I do not think its possible but maybe with [HOW-TO][Pro][Cloud] - Tool to FIX (advanced) flows after removing and re-adding devices
