This happens sometimes to me as well, seems to bewhen Amazon makes changes to their servers or does maintenance,. So far i was always able to log in the day after without any issues. Iām on the EU server
Seems like that app does almost the same in many ways, in what way would it be better? Does it also have the disconnects or does that version fix that?

Not likely, more likely that Jamie is just busy with other things/projects/life etc. So far Jamie never let us down, but not everyone can work on Homey stuff all the time of course

That sounds good, although with this app it sometimes takes about 2 or even 3 weeks before that happens too (or multiple times a day sometimes). How long have you been using the other one?
Iāve not able to log in to EU Server for 5-6 weeks now, tried regularly but cannot get an authentication. Canāt seem to find a way around it now and cannot find root cause unless its down to Amazon making changes.

If you are on the Eu server, everything should work now, I just disconnected and reconnected my account to test it. So in that case it is something else causing it.
You did read the 1st post here I assume, things like āIF you have MFA turned on, and your connecting the app may show a āpage not foundā error page.ā
Yep, agree, hes always been great, Iāve shipped him kit in the past and heās added it real quick, was just unsure as been trying to get hold of him for some advice for 5-6 weeks now with no response.
@Darrell_Etherington he mentioned a couple of weeks back that he had a newborn/baby so i suspect heās probably occupied at the moment. also being christmas holidays right now he would be spending time with his family.
i havent had issues personally as randomly iād need to login to amazon due to the connection dropping off. have you checked your 2FA/MFA? i believe Jamie mentioned to try on a web browser on a pc and use an authenticator app. from your latest screenshot it looks like your are using your phone.
other than that iām not sure. you could try the other amazon echo app. i havent had the time to test it yet but from what i heard it works just as well.
Yep thanks for heads up, I had similar message from the developer of the other App and turning on MFA fixed it straight away - it is odd though as been using Jamies one for over a year with no issues until about 4-5 weeks ago so guess something changed somewhere related to MFA but all working fine now for both apps, thanks.

Yes still here, last update was only a couple of weeks ago - but Iāve been on holidays. Still going to release the test app at some point.
The other Alexa app - uses exactly the same library as I use to connect to the Alexa servers. GitHub - Apollon77/alexa-cookie: Library to generate a cookie including a csrf for alexa remote
So it will have the exact same connection issues that some people experience, but I hope Iām wrong ā¦ if the other app is able to keep a connection indefinitely please let me know.

I was able to connect my Echo (Gen2) and Echo Dot (Gen4). Tomorrow I will play a bit with the options that this app gives to Homey Pro.
Is it planned to support more devices? I bought a Echo Pop and I am not able to add it to Homey.
