Out of solidarity for those still having issues, I restarted my Homey Pro last night and the app crashed after it restarted. I am to the thread and found this has been an ongoing issue. I live in the northeast US and the Amazon server us-1-east has been problematic recently so I thought changing servers might resolve the problem but no matter what I’ve done I continue to receive the error: undefined notification. Looks like I’ll be waiting patiently and checking in now and again ![]()

I restarted the App a few minutes ago and everything works fine again. No crash anymore. I haven’t changed anything at all. Seems it was not a problem on homey’s side.
i’ve done a bit of testing about 4-5 days ago as it also started working for me. i left it running for a day or so and my announcements were working. it did not crash at all while it was working for at least a day or 2.
i wanted to see what happens when restarting the app as i suspect the app crashes either while its restarting or trying to connect. it actually did crash and i could not connect for the next day or so. i left the app disabled once it stopped working.
i re-enabled the device yesterday and it crashed straight away. restarting the app did not do anything. i disabled the app for a couple of minutes and re-enabled the app again. the app did not crash and its now working.
i’ve set up some flows to let me know via the timeline when there are issues with this app. so far i havent seen anything come up since. usually i’d see this app disconnecting and reconnecting on its own after a couple of days so ill keep monitoring this. i havent restarted the app since as im afraid it will stop working again for a short period.

Same with me here. Deinstalling, rebooting, reinstalling did not solve the problem as I now can’t select anymore the amazon server region…I”ve created a diagnostic in homey pro:

May be we should ask the developer from the stable Echo App if he is able to add a function to his app that would allow to add other alexa- linked devices to homey ![]()

I have the same problem too, if I restart the app it doesn’t work!

Probably the only thing you can try is":
Factory reset (via Usb-tool)
Putting it back on it’s own power supply.
And then a restore of a working backup.
Then pray that a reconnect of the Alexa app works.
And reconnect…..

Hi Jamie, can you please give us an update on whether there is any chance of a bug fix?
Nothing has changed for me since the update to version 6.03 => I always get an undefined error when configuring, i.e., the Alexa app cannot be activated (since the day of the update). I have reinstalled the Alexa app several times, but it simply does not work.
I have installed the latest version on my Homey Pro 2023.

Monday, November 17, 2025, 6:03 PM: The connection is working again now, after not working earlier today.
I suspect I’ll find the connection to Amazon is down again tomorrow morning.

It’s the same here, it works at night, and then in the morning it’s disconnected again.
