[APP][Pro] Alfen - Optimal Charging, Smarter Homes: Powering Efficiency for You and the Grid

Thanks! Looks great

Once I get back I will see if I can publish it.

If you could have a look at the turning on and off command please. When I use that, I get an error " Missing Capability Listener:onoff

Yeah, thanks, need to remove it and want to find another way to gray out the icon. There is no way to turn your Alfen charger on and off  but this is a default behaviour by Homey if you implement onoff capability

Are you sure? I think with the alfen app I can for instance stop charging and start again at set a date/time.

Maybe that is a work around, in stead of actually stopping at the ‘stop’, set the restart date very far in the future? And delete at ‘start’?

Maybe useful for metrics, but I found this about the API metrics:

It might be that you are aware of this already though :).

Hey,

Any update on this?
I’m still running it from your source code and the app works flawless for me.

Kind regards,

Well, I have been running it as well and seems to work fine. Also pairing works. But haven’t made a start yet to publish it due to some circumstances. Maybe in a couple of weeks I have some time again to look into publishing the app. But currently the whole new energy management by Athom is a running target… so hope that they stabilize it first and then see if anything needs to change to be properly compatible. But as long as it runs it runs right?

Good evening.
I installed the app by CLI. But i can not add the charger.

i don’t understand what i am doing wrong here.

Is your Homey in the same subnet as your charger?

And your username is probably admin. I think this can’t be modified in the charger.

Alfen 192.168.188.53
Homey 192.168.188.61
I think that’s ok?
When admin didn’t work i tried te device id. But they both didn’t work.

It seems ok. What charger type do you have and what firmware is it running?

I assume that you can login through the official MyEve app on your phone with your username and password?

I log in with the device id and password in the my eve app.
I use an Alfen Single pro and it’s up to date. I’ll check the firmware later today.
It can’t be old.

Which app are you using? Don’t recognise the layout and screenshot.

Only thing I can imagine is that this is a 3PH pro and I only tested with single s line. So maybe this has another way of authentication/connecting and other API specs.

Don’t know how tech-savvy you are, but otherwise you can try to sniff the network traffic with a tool like Fiddler and if you can provide the details then I can see if I can fit it in this app.

This is the Eve connect app. But i also use My Eve.
I don’t understand the rest what you are saying. Going to look in to that!
Thanks for the quick reply.

So got CLI working (pff…) added the alfen app and working (as far as I can see)

in Homey the alfen app is visible
Am now trying to add a charger.
It asks for the IP address (I have it and in the same subnet as homey)
Login name is Admin??
where do I get the password?? It was installed by 50five, so never made those myself…

thanks

Do I need to contact alfen for my login details?

I found it in the documentation the installer left behind.

SUCCESS

would be great if in the future I can do the following:

Turn on the option to only use energy from solar during the day (setting in the eve app). Then if at night the battery is not yet full switch to full charging capability.

With that I can ensure the battery is always full (I live far from my work, so almost need the full battery)

I have exactly the same as you by the way, and it does work:

What password did you use? The same as the one for the my eve app?

I received this document from the installer:

It seems to be the same as you need for the app indeed
