Hello, I used a long time the Alexa App to user my echo devices and worked really good.
Sometimes I needed to repair the devices to get back the connections to it.
Since some days or weeks repairing does not work any longer, and yes, I am using the right mail adress from amazon account

After some times Amazon asks to set new password.
Any solution for that?
It is really frustrating …
I had the same problem. But I could fix it when I restarted the login process. Do you use a password manager? If yes: Check if the right password is used. In my case it mixed passwords every second time and then amazon started password recovery.

For those having problems with the Amazon Alexa servers timing out authentication… I have created this Advanced Flow on my Homey Pro 2026, which has helped. The regular Reconnect (I wouldn’t increase the frequency too much, or you may get blocked/make things worse) seems to help reduce the amount of times I need to re-authenticate. And when the authentication does 
out, it lets me know, before I start having problems with things not working.
(The Clockwork App cards are there to stop getting spammed by notifications of authentication failure… you get one, until the next successful authentication resets the timestamp flag to NULL.)
IDEA that could possibly help with Amazon’s timeout policy:
@Jamie Is there any way you could store a hash of the password you enter in the App settings page in a Tag value… my thought process being that when the “unable to be authenticated by Amazon Server” flow card gets triggered, I could automate trying to re-authenticate. Could you possibly add this, and a Then flow card with fields for Username, Password (that you could pass the hash to) and a selection list of regions?
What do you think?
This app is now useless unfortunately. It loses connection everyday even after you apply the flow to reconnect hourly

Your last post anywhere was in January. Have you even abandoned Homey completely?

Short answer: NO.
Unfortunately the developer @Jamie was last active in the forum in January and it seems he has abandoned the App and most likely Homey. - I just hope it was not due to him niot doing well!
There is another App [APP][Pro] Amazon Echo - Looking for testers and contributors that is rock solid and is definitely the go to alternative for Echo devices.
