Great, thanks ![]()
Do you guys have an estimated timeline regarding an updated Trådfri app with support for the “Inspelning” power plug? Or even a ballpark ?
Development will probably start this or next week, won’t take that long to implement though ![]()

hi,
I have serveral Praktlysing blinds (Ikea) in different rooms…
in my office room, every 2 weeks or so, my homey pro doesn’t control this specific blind there…during a day approximately it doesn’t work and the day after it’s came back ok for no reason…
in the same time blinds are working in other rooms…
I can’t control through the homey app, or with any of the 2 remotes I have!
any idea to fix that
It sounds like you may have interference with your Wi-Fi, or the blinds are too far away from Zigbee repeaters.

Any update on the integration of inspelning? Thanks!
Any update on this? Thank in advance.
Development is complete! Just a heads-up: we encountered some issues integrating the Inspelning plug due to firmware bugs. I’ll update this post as soon as the new update is live! ![]()
What kind of firmware bug?
A firmware bug in the Homey firmware, or a firmware bug in the IKEA Inspelning plug?
A bug in the firmware of the IKEA Inspelning plug. The original firmware delivered with this plug contained a bug that causes incorrect divisors for voltage and consumption.
This is one good reason to finally integrate the possibility to add firmware updates for Zigbee and Z-Wave devices! There are already several posts in which it’s mentioned that a device firmware update solved problems.
And since, according to the advertising promises, a Homey (Pro) is the only SmartHome Gateway you need, it must also be able to perform device firmware updates.
Your saying we need to buy Dirigera (Ikea Hub) to solve this then?
Yes, that’s the firmware bug I mentioned earlier. If you don’t have access to an IKEA Dirigera hub, you could consider returning the plug to IKEA for a firmware update or replacement. After all, they sold the device with an incorrect firmware version.
Could you also share the firmware version (found in the device settings) and let me know which Homey model you’re using? Restarting Homey, creating a diagnostic report, and sharing it with me afterward would be very helpful. This information will allow us to perform some internal checks on our end to troubleshoot further.
Thanks!
Just fix the missing OTA update function, problem solved ![]()
Is the plug added to the latest release?
I have removed one working but not correct indicating Inspelning, now it seems to work proper and the strange slider is gone, because this is not a dimmer. So this is improved. Running update firmware 2.4.45 (updated with Dirigeria)
(
, creator of the Inspelning driver here)
The Inspelning plug has two firmware bugs with firmware 2.4.34, both of which are (somewhat) solved with version 2.4.45 which is currently offered by IKEA Dirigera hub.
Voltage bug
This bug causes the voltage to be reported incorrectly: you will see 23.5V instead of 235V.
We have added a firmware version check to workaround this issue, but it seems that this check doesn’t work for @Mikael82. This is why @Doekse requested some more information, so we can hopefully see why our workaround doesn’t work.
Power bug
This one is trickier and will not be seen by all users. When the consumed power becomes higher than 1000W, the plug suddenly only reports 100W.
Example:
- With 90W usage, you will see 90W
- With 1240W usage, you will see 124W
We do not have put a workaround in place for this: if you want to use your plug for loads higher than 1000W, you can try upgrading the firmware using Dirigera.
However, note that even with the newer firmware version you will still see jumps in the displayed power, as the power value and multipliers are not reported at the same time. This for example causes the power to be shown as 90W → 124W → 1240W, while that intermediate step of 124W should not be there at all.
Conclusion
I would not recommend using this plug for loads greater than 1000W.
