OK, so not a big leap from a pre-version 1 so there wasn’t much changed in between 1.0.4 and 1.0.5.
The old method (pre v1) required entering a key from the SwitchBot app into the Homey app configuration page and the new method redirects you to a SwitchBot page to enter your username and password when you first add a device.
The new app should support devices that were added with the old method but doesn’t support adding new devices that way.
The error message indicates it is using the new method which is why I was concerned the problem might have been due to a jump from pre v1 to post v1.
For the moment I think I will have to put it down to a glitch but keep it in mind in case it happens again.
If you have a Homey Pro, could you send me the log from More > Apps > Switchbot > Configure App. First, make sure the Log setting is Full information, then try to operate the bot, then go back to the Log and tap on Send log.
It worked fine when they were connected through ble but they are connected via hub now.
Don’t know how to connect them through ble again.
Just sent the log where I pressed the button through homey
I have published a new test version that has more logging. Could you try that and then send me the new log to see if it shows the reason it is failing.
Ok, the log is showing the command was sent correctly so it had a positive reply.
Can you control the bot with the native Switchbot app when your phone is not in BLE range of the bot?
If you open the Hub device in the native SwitchBot app, then tap on the gear in the top right and then tap on Logs it should show you what commands it has received.
Since 11 days I no longer have a position reading at the curtain bots. This is after the firmware upgrade carried out from Switchbot.
The bots are connected via BLE. Funny thing is that now the cloud connection does show position reading, and that didn’t work before. But I prefer the BLE version in case of internet outtage.
I have already restarted Homey as well as the app and Switchbot Hub. I just haven’t tried re-adding the bot yet. First gonna give it a try here
I have just updated my firmware and see the same issue. It looks like they have added extra information to the BLE data so the app is not recognising it.
I will post an update as soon as I have verified the data is not required.
same here, updated today all my curtains to firmware version 3.9 and the position reading in Homey is now broken…
Strange enough my Homey version is on beta/test 1.0.8 and in the topic it is listed that the test(beta) version is currently at 1.0.6, so not sure if my app version is correct.
extra question:
is there any info regarding the API of the humidifier?
It still respond very late or only when power is switched on/off, i reported this as problem to switchbot months ago but they only reply that it a problem of the API developers. I reported the problem in github but that seems to be completely dead, no responses in months on any of the topics or reported issues.
