All Homey devices offline in Google Home

Since yesterday, my link to Google Home has no longer been working. Google says there is no connection to Homey. I think it has something to do with me trying to create a separate “domotica” Wi-Fi network solely for smart home devices.

The strange thing is that my Homey is connected via Ethernet, and I have never changed that. I also do not even know if it is possible to change the Wi-Fi network in the Google Home app.

Is there anyone who can help me with this?

Things I have already tried:

  • Stopped the domotica Wi-Fi network

  • Changed all devices that were connected to the new Wi-Fi back to the old one

  • Created a new home in Google Home and tried to connect Homey again (I can add all my devices, but Google says they are offline)

I hope someone can help me with this, because after changing everything to smart devices, it is now almost impossible to operate anything in my house.

Edit: I was able to connect my father’s Homey to my Google account, and that worked immediately. After that success, I connected my own Homey to Google Home, but everything was still offline.

I also reconnected my Homey to Wi-Fi as a precaution, but that did not help either.

Fixed!

My father was the problem

He overrode my connection to my Google Home and connected it to his Google Home. After removing him, everything worked again.

:squinting_face_with_tongue: Added to the intake questionnaire: “Did your father touch anything? Are you really sure?”

Yes, I am pretty sure  I was calling with him and telling him about the problem I had. (He is someone who keeps pushing all the buttons and then says he did nothing.) He then told me on the phone that he had all new things in his Google Home app :joy: but those were in fact mine. I think that when he reconnected his Homey to Google Home, he actually connected mine instead of his. The weird thing was that he could do it when I couldn’t.
