Alexa not recognizing new devices, issues with flows and Moods

Hey everyone,

I’m having some major issues with my Homey Alexa integration and wanted to see if anyone else is dealing with the same problems.

  1. New devices aren’t being recognized or added to Alexa anymore.
  2. Favorite flows aren’t showing up as scenes in Alexa, despite trying everything from restarting the Homey skill to rebooting Homey and creating new regular and advanced flows. Old scenes still work fine, but new ones are completely ignored.
  3. Moods still aren’t working with Alexa voice commands, which has been ongoing for months.

It’s becoming really frustrating trying to manage the Alexa integration, and it feels like it’s getting worse over time. Has anyone else encountered these issues? Any tips or fixes?

Still no solution…
Is anyone else having trouble getting Alexa to recognize new Homey devices?

I’ve tried everything:

  • Restarting Homey
  • Restarting the Homey skill on Alexa
  • Adding a new device to Homey and asking Alexa to “discover new devices”

But after a few minutes, Alexa just says there are no new devices.

It’s been two weeks now, and I still can’t find a solution. I’m unable to add any new devices to Alexa, which is really frustrating.

I also contacted Athom support, but I haven’t received any response. Am I really the only one experiencing this?

I found your thread while investigating what appears to be the same problem. My existing Homey devices still work through Alexa, but Alexa will not discover any newly created devices.

Athom Support has now escalated my case to engineering after another Homey Pro (Early 2019) user reproduced the same behaviour.

Did you ever resolve your issue, and did Athom Support provide any explanation or solution? It would also be helpful to know which Homey model you were using when this occurred and whether you are still using the official Homey Alexa skill.

If you currently have a Homey Pro (Early 2026), would you be willing to try the short, non-destructive virtual-light test described in my thread below? It does not require disabling or relinking the skill or changing any existing Alexa devices:

Any result or update from your previous support case would be very useful, and I can pass it on to Athom as part of the current investigation.
