Recently tried to setup a routine where when a switch is flipped, it will then send an announcement. Now, this switch can successfully be managed by my echo device, if I say “Alexa, turn off Key Switch”, it will flip it off just fine.
However, when I go into the routines, and I try to go to the When area, the ONLY things that show up are devices managed by Alexa itself (so my Alexa devices and one thread door lock). None of my Homey stuff seem to be able to interact with Alexa as a “WHEN” action.
However, a few of my devices can be used in the “THEN” section. Like a light switch and my Shelly PM device.
Ive disabled and re-enabled the skill but no luck.
So far I just set up the Alexa community app for now to get around this, but trying to see if anyone can help me out with the original method.
