Hello Magnus,

One, Please use the Huawei app topic.
Two, did you try this app already, it supports Huawei as well:

I have the same inverter and it works with the solarEdge & growatt App.

How do I find the correct data?

The IP address can be found in the Huawei app, or in your DHCP server overview (this is usually part of your router).
Look for the MAC address of the inverter (this should be printed in the manual, or on the outside of the unit somewhere.)

Can’t find it? Power the inverter off, next, printscreen the DHCP entries.
Now power the inverter back on, and check which MAC / IP has been added to the DHCP entries.

I think I got the IP adress now.
How do I figure out the correct port? I have found a couple of different ports when I look into the details in fusion solar.
..and how about the Device ID? What should be added there?

Here an example of my settings:

For my inverter - the company which installed it had to enable modbus tcp in the settings to be able to connect (https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/doc/EDOC1100332847/9412a362/how-do-i-set-the-modbus-tcp-parameter)

This is how my settings look like.
How would you set it up for Homey?

that doesn’t look like the “internal” IP → check your router setup and the connected devices. homey needs to be in the same network. 502 is the default port and if you have only 1 inverter nr 1 should also work

Thanks!
Found everything now and it works great :+1:t2:

Hello,
I don’t have the configuration menu in my huawei web app, how can i have it ?

Thank for your reply

From your installer or provider

Anybody else had the problem that Homey is not receiving any data from the inverter?

I’m using the SolarEdge + Growatt TCP modbus app. I’ve enabled Modbus TCP in the Huawei settings as per the instructions from @Rick_D . The inverter IP I got from my router, and I left the port at 502 (can’t find this anywhere in the Huawei settings so no idea if it’s correct). The inverter is connected through wifi and Homey through ethernet, but they’re on the same network.

Any advice? Thanks!

Can you put a screenshot of your settings? Inverter ID 0? Correct IP?

Are you using a Dingle or Emma?

Device ID was 1 but just changed it to 0, made no difference. I’m using the dongle. It’s the same IP that shows up in the connected devices in my router.

can you “ping” it? (Windows & R → cmd - enter ping )

should look like this

what device did you choose when connecting?

you can also reach out to the developer via “diagnose” (app settings) → i alway got fast answers from Edwin. see separate forum: [APP][Pro] SolarEdge + Growatt TCP modbus

4 packets sent and 4 received, so pinging it works. I used ‘Huawei Wechselrichter’ (second option from second row).

Thanks for the tip regarding the diagnose option! I’ve sent Edwin a report, let’s see what he says.

Not logical but I had to use id 2 to get data! Give it a try! (Huawei inverter and Dongle)

Something I just noticed is that WLAN for the dongle is turned off in the app menu under O&M authorisation, see pictures. Trying to turn it on gives an error (action failed). Is this turned on for you guys?

Didn’t work, unfortunately :frowning:
