@palatin.bence first of, thanks for your Liebherr app.

Love that it understands the correct capabilities (freezer, fridge etc.)

Your app works in genereal but for some reason it seems to give a timeout within Homey itself.
The action does seem to go to the device and the Liebherr API as I can see the changes come through in the My Liebherr app.

Did not see another clear way of reaching you and keeping the community informed, so I went this route. If that is not correct, feel free to let me know.

If I can debug anything feel free to reach out.

Thanks again for developing :slight_smile:

:man_shrugging:

@Dijker thanks for merging.

@DirkG Yeah that does not inform anybody I reached out regarding anything, or note the issue to anybody looking for if an issue of some kind was noted/reported it now does it?
But; I will reach out that way aswell.

As for a screenshot + emoticon reaction. Thank you .. so much wow. Much appreciated.
Sometimes I tend to agree with people that forums these days are becoming more and more of a follow rules dont talk type, help pr discuss at all type of thing. Forums should be for that right?

Since the app creator has not created a specific app topic and the App Store provides contact details for getting in touch with him, I suggested this option to you because it seems to be the only “official” way at the moment. Even if an app developer is registered on the Homey Community Forum, this does not necessarily mean that they are active on the forum. An app developer isn’t required to respond to questions and requests on the Homey Community Forum.

See, that it totally fair to note and address. But your comment due to the lack of any wording just came of very … well … not helpful. Or at least that is how it came across.

Let me explain;
My main thing with addressing an issue on any app or whatsoever is always two-fold.
1 - I need to to get the message to the developer. (Sometimes this is unclear what the best action is, and if you can’t reach them one way, why not try multiple)
2 - I also want to inform others about what I ran into and that I have taken action. As otherwise a developer can get the same issue multiple times. But also to save others from debugging or having to reach out.

Mailing the dev and not noting it anywhere only gets me halfway to being really helpful. You see trying to help not only myself but others by keeping people informed.

In short my approach is to save everybody time, as that is the most precious commodity we all have.

I now see you did not mean it as it came across, so thanks for replying with the why. That is always very much appreciated Dirk :slight_smile:

As for the noted issue, let’s hope approaching them form various points gets us a better working integration.

FYI I got in touch with @palatin.bence and he has issued a new testing version (Liebherr | Homey) which fixed the Homey timeouts I had.
Test version as it’s not approved yet.

So I reported back to Bence about it being fixed and with one additional request; to add the current temperature besides the targeted temperature.

Once again thanks @palatin.bence for all your efforts.

I have installed the test-version. It still time-outs with homey here with 2 Liebherr devices.

FYI @palatin.bence got back to me on the Current Temperature request. It’s been added as a new capability in 1.0.4 (Available here; Liebherr | Homey )
Please note; He did note that you must re-add the devices due to the new capability.

Seems to be working like a charm :slight_smile: So thanks again Bence!

Sorry to hear Wilfred, but If that is the case, as I can only test with two devices (a fridge (Liebherr IRBbi 4050) and a freezer(Liebherr FNdi 1624 P)) it might be best you reach out to Bence through email (dev@palatin.site)

Just be sure to include clear insight into which devices, and what action gives you the time out.
