Hello,

I am using the Sensereo MS-1 smoke alarm integrated with Homey Pro via Matter. The device is detected correctly and reports alarm states as expected.

However, there is currently no option in Homey (device controls or Flow cards) to remotely silence or turn off the alarm (“Alarm Off / Hush”).

How is it possible to do this?

Hi, unfortunately the MS-1 doesn’t currently support this feature. We can only add it if (1) it’s supported by the Matter specification and adopted by us, and (2) the end device itself supports it.

Sensereo seems to start shipping (currently in pre-order) the MSC-1 soon: MSC-1 Smoke & CO Alarm – Sensereo but it does not seems listed as Matter device yet: Sensereo Matter Devices - MatterDevices.io

The MSC-1 seems to be the MS-1 but with a display and CO sensor. My goal is to let Homey - through its insights - over time measure the CO levels in the boiler room and close to the fireplace.

Any news on what it takes for the Homey Sensereo app to support this device? And, which extra Matter capabilities would the MSC-1 have extra in comparison to the MS-1 device?

I’ve just published v1.1.0 of the app to testing which adds support for the MSC-1 Smoke & CO Alarm, you can find it here

You rocketship!

That’s great, because they were mentioning Homey app support in their manual already

And, Matter Survey does actually list the device and it’s certification of August 29th:

Next step would actually be getting some MSC-1’s, as they’re still in pre-order phase via their own website.

I’ve been testing it for quite some time now and really happy with it!

Just had three delivered today

Pairing process was quite tedious, it would only connect to Thread using the Android method.

Time to set up some flows now.
