I am located in Sweden and have a house with 2 ConnectX hubs in 2 separate houses on my land. I bought the Homey with the expectation that the “official app” would cover the most modern product but I can not find a place to connect it.
I have searched the forum without luck, can someone support a poor newstarter with if and how I can connect my 2x L3S to Homey?
If the wifi hubs are configured to connect to the same subnet Homey is connected to, like, 192.168.1.x, and the locks are connected to one of those hubs, Homey should be able to find the locks.
However, I’d like to mention to never assume “it should work” with Homey, always search the homey.app store for an indication of supported devices. (I know you’ve searched the forum, which is also useful next to searching tge app store);
On the app pages, you’ll find links to contact developers, issue trackers (Github f.i.) and dedicated forum topics.
Often it’s possible to discuss with the app devs, and also to request for an unsupported device to be added to the app. Zero guarantees though.
Is that a condition, wanting to use only an “official” app?
The “Official” tag doesn’t say anything about “supporting all the brand’s smart home devices” and “what a user considers to be the most modern product”.
A part of these apps only appear to be present just to say “yeah supported by Homey”.
Imho in many cases community apps are functioning better, have (way) more features, and are more actively supported.
Which leads to my question to you:
Did you try any of the other Doorman / Yale apps as well?
