Why shading on the lower part of a Camera widget?

I have added my first Camera widget (with the upcoming hourly prices for electricity, taken from the Power By The Hour app) but it is impossible to read the hour-values as the lower part becomes rather dark grey/black.
When clicking on the widget I get a full transparant picture.

Why this shading gradient?

Otherwise you won’t be able to properly read the text below

Than make that text in another color or place that text below the “picture” so that the whole picture is visible. The way it is solved now is not good in my eyes.
