Webapp GUI changed (1.18.0)

There are definitively visible differences between Safari and Chrome browser, that’s correct. But I don’t know why.
I use the Brave browser on my MacBook, where I’ve had the best experience so far.

I found a bug in the Fibaro Walli Switch. Both switches are turned off, yet the text at the bottom indicates they are on.

Yep, it’s definitely a bug.
I reported the bug already 20 days ago, but nothing happened until now:

I assume that the issue has always been there, but it wasn’t as obvious in the old view.
It might be a good idea for us to report the bug as well, even though, according to the response from support, it is already known and has been reported by other users.

Just FYI it’s not related to firmware, the web app is updated to v1.18.0 causing these changes

v1.18.0
Quick Actions now live behind a button in the top-right corner of each device tile, while tapping the tile directly opens the device controls.

The status indicator has moved to the bottom of the tile, creating more room for useful information such as textual indicators or media playback details.

.

When you use the local account (post Early 2016-2019 models), per http://homey.ip.address/, you’ll find the usual layout, because the local web app (which IS getting published along with a firmware update) is still on v1.15.1

Thx for information. They know it for so long and do nothing with it :frowning:

Thx for this useful information. I have hope they never update it. I am missing hidding app funcion on this old version but it is still better then this new one. Maybe You know how to save login and password to automatically login to local account?

EDIT: I manage to autologin to local account with Userscripts add-on in Safari

Large tile view is really not nice on the eyes

Nothing is consistent and on the middle tile view, text is too small

It’s a big step backward in my view.

Blue is a really poor choice of colour on a dark background for a number of reasons

Another barely visible font on dark theme

When door/windows is open there is text “Contact”. A little bit weird.

And one of the most stupid thing is why is the information that the light is on repeated at the bottom when it’s visible in the top right corner? Two times the same info.

I know it shows the dimming level, but that isn’t needed on the main tile.

I really don’t know how someone approve this update.

Ok. thanks for clarification. I noticed the changed gui and then saw that homey had got a new fw in the timeline so the updates were synced (for me).

Please bring back the old GUI!! This is not usable!

Catastropgic slop!

There are well established rules regarding contrast and readability every junior UI designer learns in his first weeks. - All 100% missed.

Athom, why do you think you know better than your users? - Even if you think so, then at least give them the choice. It can‘ t be to hard and would spare you and us lots of bad mood.

Btw. it is not just agaiinst all best practices but looks „cheap“ and like a beginner‘s first steps in its inconsistence. - Just look at the ridiculous vertical alignment Again: UI design first grader skills totally missed Just put same stuff to the same position And when there is nothing to show just leave the space blank…

And the same can be said about the apps.

Just study Apples „Liquid Glass“ nonsense: Lots of switches and settings now to make it look like before. Readable and ergonomic.

Hmmm… Screens and shutters have an On/Off button?! It’s no light!!

I do not see the new WebApp version on my local web app ([ip].homey.homeylocal.com). Only when I connect via cloud (my.homey.app). Firmware is updated and I performed a restart.

@Ray_S

So, it can only get updated per firmware update, but, v13.3.0 doesn’t contain a local web app update yet.

Ah okay thank you. And apologies for seeming lazy but I have difficulty finding the option to search within a topic.

No problem, I just wanted to inform you

This way you can search the current topic:
