Unfolded Circle Remote 3

none of them will tell you, as there is no way to tell. ony thing you could do is wake the remote and if it wakes it wasn’t powered off. so basically not possible.

I understand. For my purpose though, it works good enough.

I let Homey power down the remote and dock if I go away, go to sleep or when the charge level reaches 80%. The flow needs to check whether the remote is already powered down, as the power down command will otherwise error out. So I first check if the remote is connected/reachable. If not then the flow assumes the remote is already powered down. For the dock I can check the status of the smart plug to which it is attached.

I get that theoretically the remote could still be on but disconnected from the WiFi. I have the remote configured to keep the WiFi connected while in standby. So normally the remote would be connected all the time when on.

@Niels not sure but it looks like bug in AI Assistent

I have Claude Sonet setup in settings:

but in flow I can see only gemini… strange

you would be able to do a system shutdown. that will shut down the remote.

Thanks. please keep providing me with bug and debug information.
Maybe it’s to ambitious to want to support as many AI’s as possible especially without being able to have a API key for all the AI’s. But with enough debig information i’m sure we can at least some of them working and tested.

May i ask you to log this bug at AI Assistant so i have them in one place?

sure - moving all conversation there. Sorry didn’t know there is separate thread.

Don’t worry about it. i’m actively developing 3 different apps at this moment. and want to help and improve everything but will definitely miss things otherwise.

No matter, what I try, I always get „remote is in standby“ - is this a bug or am I missing something? The remote is in use, and I also actively switched it on in the app.

Just checked: the list seems to populate in my case after waiting 1-2 secs. Note that I tried this while the remote was charging on the dock. Also I have a Remote 3; not a Remote Two.

Doesn’t work on R2, even when charging.

I published a new version, I fixed some issues and tested it to work with my R2. Please let me know if it worked for you to.

Doesn’t work for me. I tested everything I guess, including restarting Homey, the remote, charging the remote, explicitly waking up the remote.

You do run the latest beta version of the remote and the App?

I am on 2.9.0 on the remote and on 13.1.1 on Homey as well as on latest beta of the UC app.

I tested on a Pre 2.6 version, v2.6.13, v2.8.5 and v2.9.0 but couldn’t replicate the issue you are seeing. please delete/remove the remote from homey and re-add it and see is that works.

also you can see in settings (in homey go to the remote and use the cog wheel) there’s a part named hostname and ip-address make sure you can ping them both. or use them both in a browser like http://[[hostname here]]/

Re-adding doesn’t work.

I can’t reach the remote nor the doch by hostname, only by ip

I would like to raise the topic again - sorry for maybe bothering you. But I never got the „entity changed" card to work. What I observed meanwhile: the remote practically never leaves Standby Mode. When I wake up the remote, the status only changes for a fraction of e second, then it is again on standby. Unfortunately I cannot add a video here, otherwise I would have added one. Any ideas?
