Ultimate EMS with zero export

Thanks for building Ultimate EMS, it looks very promising! I just have one question.

I assumed that the EMS would schedule EV charging during the cheapest hours of my dynamic electricity tariff. However, whenever I plug in my car, the EMS detects it and immediately starts charging, even when the electricity price is high.

My setup is:

- Tesla connected through the Tesla Car & Energy app

- HomeWizard P1 meter

- Solar panels connected through the Zeversolar Cloud app

- Dynamic electricity tariff via PBTH

I’ve tried several charging modes, but the result is always the same. I haven’t created any flows because I assumed the EMS would handle this automatically.

What am I doing wrong?

What was the soc of your Tesla? Did you also added the widgets? Can you send met your bug report and or log file? Als mention the times that you experienced the charging.

Soc was around 80% i was testing the ems out.

Installed the widgets. Via the widget set loading needs to end next day at 1100 in the morning to force low tariffs. But when I connected it starts direct. I will check tonight again. Will send you bug report when connected.

Fiirst via the widget i set a plan to charge until 1300 te get cheap rates. Just plugged in my tesla and ist start loading immediately.

als ik naar de tarieven van PBTH kijk zijn dit zeker niet de goedkoopste uren:

It’s charging, but using 32amps, so I must be doing something wrong.

Goed gezien, het klopt de EV-laadmoment was inderdaad fout geclassificeerd. PBTH’s rank is relatief aan vandaag: op een duurdere dag kan “goedkoopste kwart van vandaag” nog steeds objectief duur zijn. Dat gebeurde hier (€0,34/kWh, rank 19-24/96 is dus ten onrechte “goedkoop”).

Gefixt in v1.7.2 (net gepubliceerd): er is nu ook een absoluut prijsplafond, naast de relatieve rank — geldt voor PBTH, Tibber én Elecz. Kun je updaten en kijken of het log nu klopt met wat PBTH toont?

De 0W bij “EV START”: waarschijnlijk gewoon Tesla die eerst wakker moet worden — normaliter een paar minuten vertraging. Laat weten als het langer duurde.

You should set the max current in the EV settings. when only using solar I would advice to enter the same number as you max PV production here.

De app ziet er top uit. Ik heb gisteren van alles ingesteld in de app. Alleen wordt er geen data uitlezen.

Ik heb de volgende dingen ingesteld:

  • Slimme meter wordt door tibber pulse uitgelezen.
  • Prijsbron is ook tibber en de testverbinding werkt.
  • Zonnepanelen staat ingesteld op mijn solaredge omvormer. Verder kon ik alleen dingen kiezen die niks met mijn zonnepanelen te maken hebben.
  • Thuisaccu heb ik de batterij voor geselecteerd.
  • Voor de auto heb ik de kona (onze auto) geselecteerd. Alleen loopt die misschien wel anders normaal. Hyundai doet tegenwoordig moeilijk met de api. Deze kreeg ik niet werkend in homey. In home assistant kreeg ik hem wel werkend en leest hij ook de batterij uit. Ik heb dus homey en home assistant aan elkaar gekoppeld en kan hem vanuit homey uitlezen en aansturen.
  • De laadpaal is een Easee Lite. Deze is ook geselecteerd.
  • Ik heb ook nog een warmtepomp geselecteerd, maar die werkt via melcloud. Dus ik weet niet of die uberhaupt zo werkend is te krijgen. Die loopt ook via home assistant.

Kan je mij helpen om te kijken waar het fout gaat. Ik heb hieronder de log file en bug rapport. Heb je nog iets nodig?
