Indeed simple. But are there any devices connected to the Aqara-hub? If not what happens if you add a device to the hub?
same same, both with and without gizmos on aqara Hub.
Guess this is the same as: Trouble connecting my Aqara Hub via Matter (Merged with How are the Aqara hubs added)
Correct to merge these an continue in on tread?
maybe, but I know how, it just doesn’t work
but yes, of course they can be merged
Is it the same for the new Hub Aqara M3? Before checking out, I’d like to make sure I can link it to a Homey Pro 2023, but so far I haven’t found anyone talking about it.
I have my Aquara M3 linked to Homey Pro 2023 via Matter…works good…door/windows sensor T1 and temp sensors pop up in Homey…so no problem exsept the TVOC sensor/display does not work via M3 hub
How have you linked the Aqara M3 to Homey Pro 2023 via Matter. Could you please describe all your steps?
On your Mobile Phone>open Aqara app>then press “Accessories”>“Hub M3”>“Matter”>“Matter Pairing Code”> Note the pairing code shown there
PC>open Homey pro 2023 page>then press “+ sign”>“New Device”>“Homey”>“Matter”>“Connect”>“Continue”>put in the “Pairing Code”(from the Aqara Mobil app)>“Connect”…that was the way I did… it … it works very well…I got the Presence Sensor FP1E…yesterday…after adding it to Aqara HUB M3…it pops up in Homey
Any one had any luck adding Aqara M2 HUB to honey pro? I tried adding it via matter device, it finds and successfully adds the 2 motion sensors, but fails to add any of the 6 water leak sensors and fails to add the hub.
Do I have to remove the water leak sensors from aqara hub and add them directly to Homey Pro via zigbee? I like to keep them connected to M2 hub because of firmware updates etc…but is that the only way to do this?
Homey doesn’t support Matter 1.3, which is required for water leak sensor support.
Not sure what you mean by “adding the hub”, the hub in and of itself isn’t a device that makes sense to control via Matter.
So I am not technically savvy…but I was able to add M2 hub to homey via matter…but only the motion sensors were exposed. The water leak sensors were not.
Details of the motion sensor under advanced settings show motion sensor connected through the M2 hub via bridge.
So I don;t understand why the water sensors are not added. If homey doesn’t support mater 1.3, then why were the motion sensors added and not water sensors?
I was able to add a water sensor directly to Homey by removing it from aqara hub and pairing it via zigbee to homey.
But that entire idea of linking hubs/bridges to homey is so you can access the aqara hub and native iOS aqara app to get firmware updates. That is only way I know that you can have the devices connected to 2 systems at once…am I wrong? Like adding Philips Hue…you added the bridge to homey and still kept the hue iOS app functionality.
Matter 1.3 added support for water leak sensors. Motion sensors were already supported by older versions, like the one that Homey implements.
No, that’s indeed how it works. And your motion sensors are connected to the Aqara hub, which is now exposing them, through Matter, to Homey. But like I said, Homey doesn’t support water leak sensors that are exposed through Matter (yet).
Hello, I tried everything described above but impossible to connect my new aqara M3 hub.
I still have possibility to send back, do you have any new advice or a reason to hope an easy connection very soon?
please can you recommend another edger border device?
Hello everyone, maybe someone has an Idea to fix this:
I integrated all my window shade controllers into homey via my E2 Hub using Matter. However, it has happened now for the second time this connection has been interrputed and I cannot control them anymore. THere are no options to fix this (repair function only says “remove Matter node”) which means I have to completely remove all the devices and add them again, which subsequently means I have to edit all my Flows again.
My blinds are integrated in countless flows and it took my multiple hours to fix it last time.
Now yesterday night we had a power outtage and again, the Aqara Matter devices are unresponsive. Within Aqara it still states “connected”. Anyone an idea how to fix this?
I appreciate any help in advance
Contact Athom, the issue where Matter devices stop being available, or stop responding, is well known (at least here on the forum) and Athom is the only one that can fix this in their Matter implementation.
For those successful, and unsuccessful, do you have the Aqara hub connected via POE?
I’m experiencing the same. I have to reboot my Homey Pro on a daily base now to keep the Aqara matter devices up.
So Homey! Please heavily invest in keeping things stable. I love the ecosystem but its all too unstable to be joyful in the end.
Thanks
I have paired my Aqara Camera Hub G3 to Homey using Matter. A device called ‘Aqara Camera Hub G3’ is created with the Matter Logo, but clicking on it gives this response:
Aqara Camera Hub G3 !
Device Unavailable
This Matter device is not yet supported by
Homey
Can anyone advise what I should do to Alerts from the Camera into Homey Pro please?
