After viewing the most recent podcast I checked if I could add groups and the option wasn’t available. When I got the notification from this thread on the groups topic I checked again and there it was! But only in the Android app, not on the web
After installing the Homey Pro (early 2023) firmware v12.4.8-rc.4, creating groups is again available for me. Let’s wait and see when it disappears again…
Current configuration:
Homey Pro (early 2023) / firmware v12.4.8-rc.4
Homey iOS TestFlight app v9.3.0 (1766)
No problem, I already suspected that. But the group function seems to depend on the installed firmware and app version. Correct information is very important here, in my opinion.
I suggest security will be a subject in a comming podcast. I want Homey to support passkeys (industrial standard FIDO2/Authweb) to get a faster and more secure login to the web site eg with Google secure key. What is your plan?
In the Ask Me Anything YouTube video from 25.10.2022, @Emile said that the Z-Wave chip of the Homey Pro (early 2023) technically supports Z-Wave Long Range devices (ZWLR), but that an implementation would not make sense at this time because there were no ZWLR products available yet.
The Homey Shelly app, which is one of the 9 most installed Homey apps and ranks second in the “Appliances” category, supports the Shelly Wave Dimmer already as a Z-Wave Plus device since version v3.44.0, which was released about a week ago.
So does Athom now have plans to implement support for ZWLR devices?
Any news about Athom and VAG working on Homey integration for Audi/Cupra/Skoda/VW?
I have a subscription on the mobile app A Better Route Planner with Enode OTA live data for actual battery SoC and kWh/km. Could Enode be workaround for integration with Homey, maybe a Homey Enode app?
Will Homey make a desktop app? I made a huge advanced flow, andthe website is lagging. I think a homey desktop app using your pc’s power would be better. Less lag. I hope this can come to homey soon! So i basically want homey to have a mobile app, website and desktop app.
For performance it doesn’t differ much if it’s running on a website or as a program on your computer. A website also utilities your computers hardware to render a webpage. Most computer programs nowadays are nothing more than a wrapper around a webpage
I still think it would be nicer as a desktop program, but if so. Is there anything homey could do to reduce lags in big advanced flows? There has to be something?
I like keeping everything in 1 advanced flow as i sometimes find it easier. But i guess i pushed it to the limits. But is that something homey can fix or is that impossible?
@John_William_Brekke add the page to your homescreen on your phone. and then go to your profile page, click preferences, notifications and enable them there. your phone will ask for permissions and just like that you get notified
