Hello,
I am having trouble pairing a Frient Intelligent Keypad (KEPZB-110, HW 2.0.1) with my Homey Pro.
Environment
- Homey Pro (firmware 13.3.0)
- Frient app version 2.7.2
- Zigbee network is working correctly
- Zigbee channel: 25
What I have tested
- Tried with two different brand-new KEPZB-110 units (Amazon replacement).
- Other Zigbee devices pair immediately (for example Aqara devices).
- Homey enters Zigbee inclusion mode correctly (
ADD_NODEis shown in Developer Tools). - The keypad never appears as a new Zigbee node.
- The keypad IEEE starts with
0015BC00. - I tried both the official Frient app and the community “Frient Keypad Code Reader” app.
- I also tried generic Zigbee inclusion.
- I restarted Homey several times.
- I placed the keypad within 30 cm of the Homey Pro.
- I tried removing and reinserting the batteries.
- I tried pressing the tamper button once, multiple times, and holding it for 15-20 seconds.
Keypad behavior
- The center LED flashes yellow/orange approximately once per second.
- The flashing never becomes rapid.
- The behavior is identical on both units.
- No sound or beeps are produced when inserting batteries.
- Pressing and holding the tamper button stops the flashing while pressed, but the same slow flashing resumes when released.
Developer Tools
Homey Zigbee controller is operational and other Zigbee devices work normally.
Example controller state:
channel: 25
currentCommand: ADD_NODE
IEEEAddress: 8c:73:da:ff:fe:a3:61:b1
However, no new Zigbee node ever appears when the keypad is powered on or reset.
Question
Is there a specific pairing/reset procedure for the KEPZB-110 HW 2.0.1 that differs from the documentation?
Should the keypad produce a beep or switch to a rapidly flashing LED during pairing mode?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
