Homey doesn’t play Spotify by itself. You can use Homey to trigger Spotify songs/play lists on other devices using the Spotify Connect system. That means that your speakers need to support Spotify Connect.
The potential usage of this, could be that when you come home (geofencing, wifi-detection, etc), that Homey powers on your stereo via wifi and tells your stereo to start playing your favorite play list.
