According to my survey (link), only 39% of participants use additional gateways to take advantage of their benefits. The remaining 61% of participants either don’t use additional gateways at all, or use them only for technical reasons or because there’s no other option. Ultimately, however, this 61% would prefer not to use an additional gateway at all.
I know you love additional gateways and you love cloud services, but I’d argue that most Homey users don’t want exactly that. So an additional gateway isn’t always the solution to every problem.
Why not just recommend throwing Homey in the corner and switching completely to Home Assistant? That kind of advice doesn’t make any sense to me either, sorry.
