Look up in the left corner (scroll up). They are already placed. Maybe I should default out them right bottom corner instead.
I don’t know if they have a set max for width. That is probably the limiting factor here. I would guess since max height is 800 that is maybe 200-300 max. The app will scale down you images to not take to much. So make them around 300 in width is probably okay.
Thanks, now i found them
Yes, bottom would be better i guess…
I don’t know if the imagesize will scale up but most important thing is the aspect ratio of the image I think. Reason for asking; on mobile it’s a bit small so I will use every space there is…
So it also will be nice if the image wil get bigger as you click on it. But I have no idea if that is possible.
A have been using “floorplanner” for some other purposes. I think its also great for creating floors for this app.
You can create a free account for limited number of floors.
It will give you 2D and 3D pictures.
It will not scale up. Only scale down to fit. We can’t do anything outside the widget. So no going outside. A zoom would be possible I guess but nothing planned.
Lovely. I used magicplan for creating the 2d version. Then added them to Sweet Home 3d to build the house and render different images with lighting on.
I divided my floorplan into multiple square images, see top row @ tablet printscreen.
This way I can make it ‘bigger’ on my tablet, and I can view/use them one by one on a phone screen:
Hi @Ludvig
You made it so easy.
Created (as a test) a floorplan in Excel. I love it.
@Doekse and @Emile please make it possible to use 3 rows (tablet) for a floorplan.

Aaaah great! Thanks. So a square aspect ratio will work best. Do you know the resolution of the images?
This is very interesting idea. Love the idea that you get a full house more or less. I could device my house in like 4 parts for example and have them in 4 squares. Will definitely try it.
I will see if i can calculate the width get some type of balpark max width which is the limiting factor. This of course will be different on different screens but on an ipad you will probably reach max.
For the systemet as long as its filling up max width we have the best to work with. Then if its square or not dosent matter. We have seen some issues when the limiting factor is hight then to fit it will not use the max width of the widget instead use max hight. This is less good for positioning. So wider than higher ratio is the best for now at least. And if its the otherway make sure it fills. width.
The solution will scale down the images on quality and size so max can never be more than width 500 hight 800. This to be able to store in a good way and make it good to handle.
This looks really awesome, I love it!
Maybe it would be nice to add the temperature and humidity for every room if available?
(edit: was already on your own wishlist)
Enjoy your little coffee!
You’ve done a great job with this, Just created a simple floor plan for my living room and it works great, very impressed.
Yes temperatur devices is next in line to be added. They are a bit different since you probablly want that to show direct on the screen and not just via modal.
Im not sure what you mean with just via modal.
But i guess it would like this, although space is a thing.

I like the look but is not the way I was thinking. More that you have devices that have temp. So instead of an icon we have a circle with the temp for example. This since it’s not sure you have one room you might have a full floor then you cant have the view you have. Also I think we do not need to solve everything in space homey. You can put stuff as other widgets.
Will work on a temp/humidity capability soon. Then you will see how I think.
