Anybody an idea how to setup a sequential ledstrip? I would like to recreate the Homey ledstrip behind my couch

You can do it also with hyperion on an raspberryPI, there are tons of toturials out there like this:
Its intended to use as ambilight but its an lee controller with an homeyapp, works great here;)
