This is a community app, it doesn’t work on Homey Cloud (if that’s what you mean by Bridge)
I apologize for not having specified all the details. No Homey Cloud, I meant the app for Homey Pro and Self. I’m new to the Homey world and am evaluating this platform to allow the various devices in my home automation system to communicate and create flows between them. I installed the Homey Self version on my Nuc and among all the projects in mind is to create an alarm system using Philips sensors and an alarm siren. I have a Homey Bridge to expand the connectivity of my Self (to connect Zigbee, Zwave, etc.). I purchased an Amazon Ring outdoor siren and would like to connect it via the Zvave protocol directly to the Homey bridge. I managed to pair it in Zwave, but it is configured as a generic Zwave device and doesn’t work. I can’t insert it or make it sound. If I understand correctly, the philosophy of this app is to integrate Ring devices directly into the Homey (no Cloud), and I wanted to see if it’s possible to do something for the outdoor siren.
Hi Fabio,
The siren is not supported in the app and I have no plans adding it due to time constraints.
I suggest to check compatibility of devices before you buy them to prevent disappointment.
Thanks for the reply!
I’ll try before I do the free return…
Thanks and Sayonara
Did you ever find a way to add your contact sensors?
I have the Ring Contact v2 and I get to the point where it tells me to push the pinhole and nothing happens. I’m using the Ring Security app.
I figured out how to add the Ring Contact Sensor V2.
In the onscreen instructions in the Ring Security app it tells you to push the pinhole button (in the battery compartment) but you actually just need to push the big button on front for 3 or more seconds. It did seem a little ridiculous having to open the battery compartment and get a paperclip to add a device!
Cant get my alarm ring sensor to trigger alarm when its aktive on the keypad
Can see it Go aktive
Can see Motion is trigger
But dont trigger the Sound alarm.
Made a Flow
When Motion detection
And
Heimdall alarm status aktiv
Then
Switch to Sound alarm Siren
But nothing happen
If i test flow it start ok.
What im Missing here???
Lost cant Figure it out way it dont trigger.
Is it a bug
Do i need the flow or will it trigger the Motion automatic in heimdall when that go on aktive alarm Mode.
And to info dont have base station only the ring keypad 3 Motion ring and the NeoSirene as Sound alarm
Please reformat your post to make it readable, I can’t make anything of it.
Continuing the discussion from Ring Security - Extend Heimdall with Ring Security products:
Keypad V2 stopped working. Uninstalled both app (Ring security) and Keypad. Not able to re-install keypad now. Where can I find complete installation instructions? Instruction in Homey starts with pressing “1” for 3 seconds. Nothing happens?
Please advise.
Please move your post to the app topic

Problem solved after factory reset.
Hi Steve,
I see no actual error, so not much I can do to help.
Which sesnor version are we talking about? It may be the instructions aren’t correct, please browse through this topic. There’s posts about how to added some devices as unfortunately not all versions behave the same.
Hi.
Its the Ring Motion Detector - Same as in the picture. This screen comes up when I am adding it and all looks fine, then just nothing happens. It stays on that page forever. No sensor is added.
Has anyone added Ring Motion Detectors before? I assume someone will have…
Thanks
Steve
Yes, I’ve added the V1 sensor when I started with this app. You do realise it’s a two step action?
The first one is to reset the device so it can be paired, the second is to actually pair the device.
Has this device been paired with another system before?
Its paired with my Ring system, thats all
This app is to add Ring Security devices to your Homey as stand alone Z-Wave devices. It is impossible to add a Z-Wave device to multiple Z-Wave networks, so if you add it to Homey you’ll lose it in the Ring system.
I advise you to use my other Ring app will enable you to add the Ring Alarm system to Homey: Ring Doorbell, Camera and Alarm support for Homey
Sorry, I am new to Homey and just finding my feet. For some reason, I couldnt find your app and had to go a different way to get it. I have it now and will carry one. I appreciate your help!! ![]()
I am experiencing an issue with my Ring Keypad V2. I use the device as part of my alarm system—a setup that had been working flawlessly for a very long time. We recently went on vacation for three weeks, and upon our return, I noticed that I could no longer disarm the alarm using the Ring Keypad. Subsequently, I was also unable to arm the system. I then observed that whenever I pressed a key, the red wireless signal indicator (signaling a communication error) would light up. I performed a factory reset on the keypad but was unable to re-pair it with the system. Suspecting a hardware defect, I ordered a replacement keypad. The pairing process itself works—I can see the keypad listed within my Homey system. However, as soon as I attempt to enter any input using the keys, the red wireless signal indicator appears again. I have already restarted Homey and attempted to re-pair the keypad multiple times. Furthermore, no battery status is being displayed, among other issues… I am feeling a bit at a loss. Any Idea ?
